The Point at Herndon

"It has been a decade since I lived here but I wanted to share with you how much I enjoyed my time there but more importantly how much I appreciated the staff and management. When I was a resident I had to take my father in who was suffering from dementia (undiagnosed Alzheimer at the time). The entire staff kept an eye out for my father taking notice whenever he was wondering and contacting me immediately. I cannot express my gratitude for all management did to assist me and my family during that difficult period and I will be forever grateful. My son is now looking for his first apartment with his new wife and I’m naturally recommending he move to the Point at Herndon. We’ll be reaching out tomorrow for a Dec/January move-in date."

"Love it here. Sucks that people can't drive and keep breaking the garage doors.. Sometimes feels like we're paying for these key fobs and garage parking spots for no reason... That's where the 5th star went. But really though, all of the property mgmt staff and like 85% of the community are nice if you're nice."

"This place is the worst! DO NOT MOVE HERE! They charge $5 per visitor parking pass and they charge for items that they consider to be broken when you move out; however if you move in and things are broken and unfixable they refuse to apply a credit towards the monthly rent to fairly compensate. My unit has all types of issues wrong upon moving in and they could care less. The garage door has been broken for almost 1 month now. Property Management are liars, they do everything in their power to fill up vacant units even if that means not being transparent. DO NOT MOVE HERE. THIS PLACE IS A COMPLETE DUMP for the Herndon area. Apparently this place received poor reviews over 1 year ago and the management company hasn't gotten any better. This place is very old school, as if they're afraid of keeping up to date with the latest trends. LOOK ELSEWHERE & SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE, I sure wish I would have. I will be out of this poorly managed complex as soon as my lease is over."

"This place is horrible. I lived there from May 2020 to April 2021 and had SEVERAL issues throughout that time. They are very hard to reach, either by phone or stopping by the office. One month into being there, my A/C broke over a weekend. I could not reach maintenance so I paid an outside company to fix it. I called Kevin Monday morning and he said they would not reimburse me. There were several things that needed to be fixed as soon as I moved in (blinds, closet doors and sinks). Apparently there is no protocol for management to inspect an apartment for allowing a tenant to move in. But don't worry, you'll be expected to complete your own inspection upon move in. Double standard. The management and tenant should inspect the property together. Car rental companies do it but not this place. There were several other things that broke in the short time I lived there (refrigerator, fireplace). I moved out one week early and was not sure if I had to leave the utilities on through the end of my lease. I called the office to ask and was told I could turn them off. Well, I should have been more clear. She said "I could" but neglected to say I would still be billed for the time I didn't have them on. WHAT IS THE POINT IN ME ASKING??? I lost my whole deposit PLUS got an extra bill (separate from the utilities bill) in spite of leaving that apartment spotless. One of the reasons was because blinds were broken. That is rich since the blinds in another room were never fixed when I first moved in. Another double standard. We aren't going to fix these when she moves in but if some break in another room, we'll deduct the cost of those from her deposit. If I could give zero stars I would. Train your staff. Complete incompetence and horrible customer service. I will never recommend this place."
