Avana Red Run

"Oh Avana Red Run…. The projects dressed up in a nice visual. Before I rant , I CAN say that their upscale units are nice on the inside , nicely designed. In my unit I haven’t experienced any bugs for the short time that I’ve been here. But as soon as you walk outside to the hallway you’re reminded of what this place really is. More of a checkpoint than the destination if you’re looking for a place to call home. The thieving around here is so fruitful I’m sure they’ve quit their normal jobs. Security you ask? What security, “security isn’t necessary if you properly protect your assets” the property manager proclaimed. And you should watch where you walk ,some people let their dogs go anywhere and leave it to the cleanup crew. But that’s nothing compared to what you could experience here. Don’t expect your management to care and or be helpful if problems are to arise. My car was outside the parking lot being broken into , I couldn’t work that day due to this . Once I let management know there was no up in security, no discount for the inconvenience… they just simply asked if I can park somewhere else. I said huh? I live here, where else could I possibly park ? I asked about cameras & surprise there’s only one camera monitoring their gym and leasing office. Had to come out of pocket to fix the damages and replace the things stolen. That’s not all because 2 months later the thieves came back to this time take the entire car (didn’t even give me enough time to put some type of anything in the car to prevent this) and the icing on the cake , my car was right outside my unit. I didnt have enough to break the lease so here I am, trying to survive here while watching my other neighbors get their things stolen , broken into and damaged. I even saw someone’s car on milk crates one morning while leaving for work (that could’ve been me if the thieves felt like it). So until my lease is up I’m waking up randomly whenever I hear a noise outside , hoping it’s not me getting wheels stolen off the transportation I need to make money. When i told them about this issue you better believe nothing was done , just a pat on the back and a “sorry life sucks , it was only a 40 thousand dollar car, you’ll make that back in no time” moral of the story don’t live here unless you have expendable items that can vanish and not cause utter chaos after ."

"When it's time to move out. PLEASE do a walk through. I figured out why these rental agency don't do them anymore. Because they make false accusations stating you damaged something; when in fact you didn't. It happened to me :(. Shame on you Avana Red Run. This place was so over price to rent as it is. They had the nerve to go up on the rent $300 within a year during Covid *heartless* And then have the nerve to say I damaged something to hit me up for more money when I left. Mind you I only lived there for 2 years."

"My experience at Avana Red Run Apartments has been great. I have been a resident here for over 5 years. The staff here are wonderful. They are very pleasant, courteous, and respectful. That includes the office staff as well as the maintence staff. I look forward to living here until passing."

"The review you didn’t know you needed before you sign that lease girl! (Or boy) Beautiful property and spacious apartments BUT SO MANY OTHER THINGS WRONG HERE. First and foremost . . . Roaches, mice, false noise complaints, daily police activity, raids, drug transactions in the halls, homeless people sleeping in the stairways, false tows and robberies in the parking lots of your new home, if you decide to sign that lease. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. 1. TOW COMPANY STEALS YOUR PARKING PASS OUT OF YOUR car and will tow it in the middle of the night, acting as if they didn’t see the pass on your mirror. I’m telling you what I KNOW. Rebecca and the other women in the rental office have a scam going on with this shady tow company. AGAIN, you have been warned. 2. Speaking of rental office staff. VERY Ignorant, condescending and unprofessional. Rebecca in particular. Very rude and nasty for no apparent reason. Every sentence she speaks is of arrogance and a substantial amount of BS. (Make 3x the rent yourself, before you speak down on potential or current residents who have occasional hard times) 3. During my stay, at the BEAUTIFUL AVANA RED RUN. I have had 5+ false noise complaints to my apartment, I was at work at the time and was notified police were knocking at my door for noise complaints( nobody was home). This was AFTER I expressed my concerns to the rental office about the false tows that I observed personally and informed law enforcement about. (Who did nothing by the way) 4. Leaking appliances for months! That was never fixed upon move out btw. 5+ maintenance requests who only did temporary fixes. Very cheap, will not fix/replace broken appliances. You will be SOL and given excuses. The air did not work for several months during the summer, they were in no rush to fix it 5. The DOG POOP, lawdhammercy. It is everywhereeee. No one picks up the dog poo. Bottom line. Disgusting. 6. The children start fires in buildings. Fire alarm goes off 3x a week because kids pull the alarms. You will get NO sleep! 7. They had security driving around the parking lot doing 100mph blasting music, almost ran residents over with zero regard for human life . Ridiculous!! 8. LAST BUT NOT LEAST. . . If PEACE is a priority for you . . . You will not find it here because AGAIN, you have been warned."

"Maintenance moves swiftly! Liz was nothing less than IMMACULATE in regards to my application process, very open and honest. Costumer service was excellent. I wish the gym equipment worked properly. The lat pull down machine wire is unraveling and not functioning properly and can cause serious injury to someone soon."
