"I’m going to give it three stars right now and I will keep updating it as my lease term approaches. Have been here for seven months now and I really love living here but there are few things I don’t seem to like. My first month in this apartment, a group of kids kicked my door and ran. Thanks to my doorbell camera, so I called the leasing office and they apologized and said they will identify these kids. Would you believe nothing was done. Like there was no email the next day addressing it instead they told me it does happen and I’m not the first one. And I should not be bothered about it. If you address it, those kids will stop going to people’s door and kicking it. First, the garage entrance keeps breaking and to be honest I don’t think it was done to protect anyone’s car. I think it is more of an aesthetic to make the apartment look good to people. With or without the gate, people from outside ( who don’t live here) can still enter the garage. Second, there are no cameras in the garage except from the entrance so even if your car gets vandalized, there is no way to know who did it or if your insurance request for an evidence, I’m sorry but you might just go ahead and fix it with your own money if your insurance is fixated upon evidence. Third, people knows the trash service rule meaning they know the days trash are meant to be picked but some people leave trash out of their door for days I mean from Friday till Sunday which is the pick up day. I left a picture as an example of what I’m referring to. That trash has been sitting outside since Friday and wasn’t picked up until Tuesday Jan 2, 2024. We have garbage by the garage people could dispose their trash out. I understand we pay $25 to get our trash picked up but you cannot leave trash out your door for four days and think that’s right. Additionally, there is a drain by the side of the apartment which I think should be cover up because your little kitten or puppy can easily fall into it and trust me no one will help you to get it out. Also, people leave their dogs poop on the floor. Have experienced stepping on it two times. Lastly, people move out of here a lot. I’m not sure if it a good sign or bad sign but tons of people move out. But take it as whatever sign you want just a little advice. Don’t get me wrong no place is perfect and there will always be problems. But I think it just depend on how these problems are being handled. That’s it for now but I will update this as things changes. Update: Few things has happened from the last time I posted my initial review. I don’t know who these kids are but playing, fighting, or running around in the hallway is unacceptable. I witnessed a fight and they were tons of screaming and yelling from these children on the second floor and I work from home. Water and sewer bill got increased by the water company by $14. The apartment was aware about the increase but I think as a more business courtesy, tenants should be aware there will be an increase. I wasn’t home most of Dec but I will have to pay $62 in water bill and I normally pay $50. I hate the fact problems are not being addressed but instead swept under the carpet. Address issues and that’s the only way problems can be solved. Install camera in the garage, get a better gate entrance, warn kids to play or fight outside instead of the hallway. Address the issues about kids going around people’s door and kicking it. Situations like these should be talked about. I wish I could post these videos on here."

"I haven't even finished a complete year at this place and ran into so many issues dealing with 'The View At Mill Run'. Might as well call it 'THE HOOD OF OWINGS MILLS.' The leasing office keeps in contact constantly until you move in (they work hard for those commissions) ! Once you move in, FORGET IT, my 14 day move in inspection list still has yet to be completed. Grab bars were to be installed and once they were installed, (rushed after my slip and fall by the way that has yet to have an incident report), they installed it incorrectly and told me not to lean on them. Maintenance has been back to mark where they should replace them and its been since the end of 2023 where these marks are but no adjustments have been made. Oh and they completely disregard your request to be called before maintenance arrives. THEY WILL TOW YOUR CAR EVEN OUT OF YOUR PARKING SPACE WITH YOUR TAG. The company they use specifically targets older cars. VISION TOWING. I watched the driver go round and completely skip new cars but stop to get out and do a 360 inspection on older cars. Ive emailed about my car being towed in October and still do not have a resolution or a refund/credit to my rental account as stated in person. I've been back to the office and was asked to re-forwarded the email and still haven't heard back. The ghetto children roam the hallways and lobby all evening long. They destroyed the fitness center, almost every equipment is broken, none of the TVs work, and yet nothing is done about it. The section 8 residents deep clean their cars in the garage so it looks like the dump and the poor porters have to clean up after them every day. The garage gate is always broken and when I mean ALWAYS, I mean they fix it and within 2 days its broken again. Fedex doesn't actually place the packages in the HUB like they should and even leave the packages in between the door of the main lobby for anyone to steal. The apartment itself is pretty good, I don't have any floods or anything but they will certainly give you old appliances that are shaky and broken. Oh and they will tell you to call the leasing office when there is no solution or an answer. You'll get the third party answering service that will pass the message along. Honestly the price isn't worth it. If you can find somewhere else to live DO IT !"

"I recently worked with Sharday and she was incredibly helpful throughout the process. I had some special needs that required additional assistance and she was very responsive, polite and communicated with me frequently including involving the manager when appropriate. I had no issues with the application process. I have been in my spacious apartment for a few days now and can leave a more in depth review as to the complex itself later."

"Where to begin. First, the leasing office is incredibly unprofessional and rude. Specifically Sharday, who does not return calls nor emails when attempting to reach her. I reached out and left my name and phone number over the course of 3 business days and she did not call me back. Only after I sent a stern email detailing all of the horrendous problems attempting to rent a community in this complex did she decide to call me back. When attempting to explain the reasoning over the phone, she became loud and hung up on me in the middle of our conversation. Long story short, this complex wasted my time over the course of 2 weeks making me submit multiple applications just to deny me for false reasons. They claimed to say I have insufficient income to meet the requirements to rent a $1,500 monthly rent apartment, which is false based on the pay stubs and offer letter I provided to them. Secondly, the very first apartment I applied to on their official website was not actually available. 30 minutes after I paid the $250 holding fee + $25 applicant fee, I received a call from Sharday stating that their was an error on their side and the apartment should have been taken down from the website and not listed. After a few days I received my $250 holding fee back, yet the complex is refusing to compensate me for my $25 application fee. Why would I be responsible for the $25 application fee for an apartment that was never actually available, and for an application that should never have been submitted because of the communities error? Sharday has by far been the worst employee in a customer facing role I have ever dealt with, and is a poor reflection on the community as a whole. She even claimed to have forwarded all of the information I provided her to her manager so the manager could reach out to me and help sort it out. The manager never did reach out to me. SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND MONEY AND DO NOT RENT HERE. It may look nice from the outside, but the employees and leasing office are awful."

"I have been here several times to visit friends. I am also handicap. 9 time out of 10 the people in the front office park their stupid little golf cart in the handicap parking. I called today when I arrived and they blamed it on maintenance. I wonder if maintenance knows they get blamed for things that aren't their fault. It's just rude and inconsiderate to park in a spot that people use because they need access to the lowered curb. You should appreciate that you have the ability to walk places with your lazy legs."
