"I'm actually looking for a apartment to rent when I went to get the application tenants there has nothing good to say about the place and turn my mind off from applying and how it's expensive as well"

"The apartment was rented in awful shape, wall damage, stained carpets, bulbs out, and bathroom fan not working. Our cats were infested with fleas from the apartment itself. Laundry room flooded constantly and was shut down for 4 months, so we had to go to a laundromat. Parking is terrible and non-tenants would park and dump trash there constantly. Roaches outside our unit and in the hallways, lights in hallways out and not replaced for months. Out stove broke and wasn’t replaced for a month. Neighbors constantly making whole building reek of pot. Nearly impossible to get ahold of property management and maintenance. Was told rent didn’t go up year to year and it went up $100 per. Gave emergency notice of leave six months before lease was out (to leave two months early) and was told it would be okay as I had medical documentation, and that I would t have to pay additional two months. Now a debt collector says I owe $1k for that, even though I was never contacted by the apartment management regarding this. The place is a health hazard and business practices are inconsistent at best. Do not rent here, EVER!"

"Edit: This is a response to the "review" below mine (might be different order for some). First things first, Tanya, you can respond to reviews if you are the owner/manager of a business. I have no idea who you are, but rather than putting a fake 5 star review to try and combat the awful reviews this apartment complex deserves, how about responding to the reviews properly. It has been reported as such, hopefully it is removed so the real score this "business" deserves is shown. That aside, I am well aware of the common practices of apartment complexes. I lived at this apartment complex for a year, prior to that I had stayed at 3 different complexes over 6 years (prior military, forced to move due to that). I have nothing but praise for any of my prior residences. I read my lease, I followed all procedures, and met with the manager on multiple occasions to make sure everything was squared away as I would be moving several hours away after move out. If you see this, Tanya, know that this property as well as your company deserve to be run out of the business. You're already way overcharging for tiny apartment units that aren't even move-in ready (read below), there's no need to throw scummy business practices on top of it. Original: DO NOT RENT HERE! I don't care how desperate you may be to find a place, this is not the one. The laundry room is disgusting, covered in webs and bugs and half the washers/dryers don't work. My apartment had a large hole in the bathroom wall on move in, half the light bulbs were shattered which I needed to replace, and numerous other damages (the list was about 2 pages long to ensure they didn't try to charge for them). Also, the water heater for my unit broke down during my lease. Do you want to guess how long I was without water? Two weeks, so don't expect any issues to be addressed in a timely manner, even urgent ones. On top of it all, a month and a half before the end of lease I spoke to the manager to verify the procedures for moving out, did everything I was told to do and was told I was good to go. That lease ended in January, and now they (the manager and the corporation that owns the building) are saying I need to pay for one more month of rent because I did not give proper 1 month notice. I repeat, DO NOT, under any circumstances, move in here. It is overpriced, terribly run, and will try to squeeze every cent out of you."

"I have lived a lot of places and this was the worst. Very over-priced. Trash everywhere all the time. The hallways were filthy, and I think they got cleaned once in the year I was there. It took them two days and me complaining during a snow storm to replace a simple breaker for my furnace. When I moved in, there was cat poo on the kitchen floor and walls (??). Yet, they tell me they cleaned. There was a huge trash bin that was over-flowing for a long time. Penn Waste actually put a note on it that they weren't going to take it because of how full it was. There was black mold growing on the window sills and in the corners of the rooms. The walls would randomly get wet. When I called about it I was told, "Maybe your kids threw water around." Yeah, I bet they did that every day in this 800 sq ft apartment and nobody noticed. And they reached the ceiling somehow and the insides of the windows. They're pretty talented! I had actually researched online and found that many older buildings that did not have proper ventilation installed after some sort of renovation had these issues. (Sorry not an expert on buildings, that's not an exact quote). The neighbors downstairs treat the grassy areas like their personal storage facilities, and the upstairs get nothing. There is a portion of the lease saying kids can't play in the grass, but yet it can be used as a junkyard I guess. People were allowed to grill right up against the buildings. The police were there almost every night. I watched drug deals in the back alley more than once. Many neighbors smoked in their units and it stank all the time, despite the lease stating smoking wasn't allowed. Dog poo was left everywhere. Many people had large, strong breeds of dogs and they weren't able to control them. One had charged me once, and another growled and snarled at my toddler as we walked past. This definitely tells you the types of owners that are living here. Oh and unrelated to the building itself, the one house on Mumma Ave feeds stray cats. On a windy day you can literally smell the pee. They leave food and straw bedding out 24/7, which attracts all kinds of creatures and pests, which have the potential to cause disease or infest your apartment."

"Mr. Evans, I am sorry that you are disappointed for the way you perceive as being mistreated. However, the lease that you signed for 1 year clearly states your responsibility on moving out. As you are aware we are an apartment community not a hotel. If you remain as a resident after your lease expires, you are on a calendar month basis. We require a thirty day written notice effective the 1st of the following month. And you are billed for the entire month whether you remain in occupancy or not. This is industry practice in a large majority of apartment communities. We suggest you read your next lease before you sign."
