BWI Airport Marriott

"My company has us stay here while in BWI for work. I travel a lot but still did a bone head thing by leaving my battery pack for my phone plugged in the bedside table. I realized i left it behind after i got home on the west coast. I almost didn’t call but glad i did learning it was found and turned in! So thankful their housekeeping was honest! Hat tip and good karma to the housekeeper!!!"

"Shuttle service was great and friendly. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room is very clean and accommodating. The "Bistro" is where I started to see a problem. The lady at the front desk for the Bistro needs to sharpen her customer service skills a bit and overall okay. I ordered chicken fingers and it took one bite to determine it was still cold. I returned the food. Three minutes later, my food arrived, same chicken fingers with my signature bite I left plus full of grease. I guess they don't mind my germs in their hot oil."

"Decided to come here because originally we were suppose to stay at the Country Inn & Suites next door. However that ended up being super dirty and after a long & horrible day of traveling we walked to the Marriot. The girl that helped really helped us out & the room was nice & clean. It’s such a nice & quiet hotel! However there might of been some miscommunication about our check out because the next day a lady called us and told us we were late for check out. After the second call everything was figured out and fine. We came back after our cruise and stayed there the second time which was nice as well. 4 stars overall cause it was nice, clean and quiet. - 1 star for the miscommunication. Still would stay there though!"

"Comfy beds, fast and multiple elevators, food is great, only downside is no continental breakfast included. You have to pay extra for breakfast but there is Starbucks on site. The staff was very friendly and there was a shuttle going to the airport back and forth every 10 minutes or so."

"Worst airport shuttle experience ever!! Shuttles run about every 20 minutes back and forth from the BWI airport. I had a layover in Baltimore of about 15 hours, so no rental car, and attempted to catch the shuttle. I was literally turned away from 3 shuttles being told they were full when the driver saw my deployment baggage. At one point a shuttle pulled in, clearly had empty seats, and I knocked on the window but they wouldn’t open the door! After attempting to get a shuttle for over an hour, and no help from the shuttle dispatcher over the phone, I ended up taking a taxi in hopes of getting to bed before midnight. I rated 3 stars because once in the hotel the room was comfortable and the bed was heavenly! The concierge lounge offers the same breakfast buffet that is available in the lobby. However, my status wasn’t added to my key card (I alternate between Ambassador elite and Titanium elite depending on work-travel demands) so I couldn’t get in on first attempt- I had to go to the front desk to get that corrected for access. Between the shuttle mess and my omitted concierge lounge access, it feels as though this hotel is very disorganized and doesn’t care about loyal Marriott customers. One the bright side, the bathroom amenities were a treat. The shampoo, conditioner, and shower gels had an amazing herbal scent I loved and would buy for home use. There were also some thoughtful touches, such as a sleep mask and mouthwash that I don’t often see. This is a good hotel for a short layover, but I don’t know that I’d stay for my typical 8-10 day work trip- too many hassles."
