Courtyard by Marriott Bowie

"The staff were professional and pleasant. Quiet rules and amenities are clearly posted. Sarah Novak graciously processed my reservation request when I walked in to this Courtyard on Dec 15, 2023. Manager Matthew was very helpful with my Market purchases, along with my room information when I checked in and out. Excellent customer service by Easton, who provided complimentary afternoon cookies and an umbrella on a rainy night. Susan, Night Auditor, handled my billing questions efficiently and salted the icy sidewalk next to parking spaces at 04:00! Ice and snow on the pedestrian path was removed at 06:00. Snow plows cleared the parking lot and Science Drive later that morning. They appeared to be fully staffed during this recent winter storm. Security is parked in the lot overnight to protect vehicles. The Bistro opened for breakfast at the stated time for hungry and thirsty guests during my entire stay."

"I use a wheelchair the suite was nice in the seating area and the bathroom was accessible the biggest problem as the sleeping area the bed as too high to transfer from my chair luckily I used my crutches to boost myself into the bed. Although. ada regulations do not address heights of beds it is suggested that wheelchair accessible beds be between 20 and 24 inches off the floor. Also ada regs do say there should be a clearance of 36 inches on both sides of the bed if the room has only one bed this experience has made me aware to ask about bed heights before making a reservation again. I was also unhappy about the hours of breakfast and yhe fact it was not an accommodation like the other hotel chains in the area"

"Beware!!!! Car parked directly in front of lobby and parking lot security guard doesn’t notice someone steeling tires and rims????? Inside job??? Not a safe place - and when needing an extra night, you can’t even comp a meal???? Outraged and NOT happy with Marriott Bowie!!!"

"No walkable restaurants. Made an error booking GM wouldn’t correct it. My fault being a loyal Ambassador Elite Bonvoy member. Won’t be staying here ever again and makes me question my allegiance to Marriott hotels. Town place across the street has walkable restaurants. Staff was great expect the GM Aleah Powe. Small business owners beware call before you book and confirm you’re not paying $101 over standard room rate and I’d wait to the day of checkin unless you are staying during the weekend."

"Called ahead to get early checking. He said no problem and put it in the system. Showed up at the exact time we asked for and the lady up front said sorry we don't have any rooms ready, sww the note for early checking but gave me attitude and said "you can try finding a room somewhere else if you want."was hard as a rock. The only positive was that the room was clean but it should be at $240 a night. Getting breakfast took a long time. 1 guy working with a long line of people. First and last time we stay here. Don't promise early check in if you can't do it and don't give people an attitude when you promised the early check in."
