Hampton Inn Bowie

"I want to start this by saying our stay was 3 weeks and the staff were great, especially the day shift front desk and the kitchen staff. Our first night was bad. Someone pounded on our door trying to get in. I called the front desk and got no answer, so I called the police. They responded and could not find the find the person. I suspected the person next door who was loud and upset. After a few days of rude noises and yelling, we asked to move and the front desk was very helpful and moved us. Every weekday morning for the rest of our stay, the lady in the kitchen was very nice and the food was good. Overall, the owner needs to put some money back into this place. The laundry was down the entire time we were there and the rooms were showing their wear. The guests behavior is not the fault of the hotel, but in general, some of the guests were rude and entitled."

"Upon entering, there was no front desk personnel after about half an hour a staff member came to the front desk. I explained to her that I’ve been here for half an hour without any type of service. Her excuse was one person was supposed to work and end up quitting so she was on her way out and had to come back in to work the next shift, she was very unprofessional and smelled like straight weed. She kept slamming down things and was very aggressive with her tone. The morning before I was supposed to book out at 8 o’clock in the morning the person in the room over was in a shouting match over the phone. I have it recorded on my cell phone because the walls were very thin. I complain to front desk front desk said they sent someone up and unfortunately was unable to Reach the person that was staying in the room next to where I was. Also, the noise continued up until I booked out. My overall experience was terrible. The maid or cleaning staff picked up things and threw them away without asking any questions I came back one night and had problems getting in through the front with my key card. The breakfast was horrible at times the water pressure was kind of low. Anyone that has a problem with my honest review I have the recordings,documents and pictures to prove it."

"I will preface with this, service was top notch, the hotel felt/looked clean. Check in was smooth. The bed was rock hard, the mattresses should be replaced for sure. We had room 322. I had to use the bathroom at 5:30am, when I got back in bed, someone touched my leg (I hadn’t gone back to sleep at that point so I was not dreaming). Thinking it was one of my kids trying to find their way to the bathroom, so I turned my phone light on for them - both kids were dead asleep. I swear up and down that room is haunted! I could not go back to sleep…"

"The front desk staff are great and helpful. The breakfast staff and housekeeping do an amazing job. Everything is great except the mattresses are a little hard probably need to be replaced i would recommend. It is close to so many things. But the hotel it self sits in a quiet area."

"Nice welcome from the front desk, who moved us with no questions after we found out there was a yapping dog next door to our original room. The room was nice, clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast is buffet style and pretty good. There are plenty of places within walking distance to eat. Perfect location to stay the night before our early tee time at Renditions which is only a 10 minute drive from the hotel."
