"Lost my wallet, while I’m totally freaking out because I can’t even pay for my food, I see a security guard who helped to reunite me with my wallet. That would not’ve changed my mind to shop in Giants if I hadn’t found it, been shopping there most of my 60 plus years."
"Will not be returning after years of shopping here. To many other options to deal with this inconvenience. Only available option was self checking and there ridiculously picky machine made it nearly impossible. Took longer to check out than to shop. It's one thing if your getting just a few things that fit on the small shelf. But when that's not an option it becomes continuously necessary for one of there people to reset, then rest, then rest so you can keep scanning. May as well , oh I don't know, ACTUALLY STAFF CASHIERS. I won't waste my time here again."
"Every one of the bags that we now purchase when checking out didn't make it to the front door without ripping. One didn't even make it from the checkout counter and had to be rebagged there. We lost a carton of milk and a container of yogurt due to the catastrophic failure of the bags. If I am paying for the bags, can I get a refund due to their failure and a refund for the damage caused to the goods that they failed to contain. Edit Saturday Dec 16, 2023, Just spoke to customer service after a 20 min wait. They said I could take my receipt and the damaged items back to the store and get replacements. While this is nice, my main issue was at the poor quality of the bags. It isn't just the paper bags, I've had their fabric bags break also."
"What is up with your paper bags?!? They all rip! I'm paying for them, why are they suddenly much cheaper? You're obviously making money off of the bags, which is fine, but I can't even carry my food from the car to my doorstep without at least half of the bags disintegrating. Do better."
"I hadn't been to a Giant in years, & I picked a good location to go to. Stopped to get snacks for the room & the road. The store was clean, including the lady's bathroom. Was happy to see the golden kiwi and the Simply Pineapple. Would return again when I'm in the area. I visited right before closing on Sunday, 07-02-23."
