"I took my bike there to have work done on it. He told me it would be one price. I agreed to that price but when he called me to say it was done it was 50% more than what he quoted me. No call to ask if I wanted to pay more for the work. This place is a scam"

"This place is a rip-off. Stay away! I took my bike in for work on the range shifter, a tune-up, and a leaky front tire. They called few days later and said it was done. They had replaced the shifter and did somewhat of a "tune up" but left the bike pretty dirty. I assumed they replaced the front tube. I left on vacation a couple days later, when I arrived the front tire was flat. Upon inspection, it was the same valve stem the tire had in it for years (i had filled it several times previously due to the leak). When I got back from vacation I took the bike in an asked them to properly replace the tube. He said they had and it is normal for tires to loose air. I asked if that were true, why doesn't the rear one go flat? Anyway he wanted $20 more to replace the tube and refused to make it right without my "receipt" . I ask him to look on his work order pad as they keep carbon copies, but he said he wanted my copy. Anyway, rather than argue and waste gas, I'll fix it myself. These people are dishonest!!!"

"I’ve been there twice now for a used bike first for myself and then for my wife. The first time I paid 149 for a vintage Canadian road bike in solid shape. It did need a little bit of tweaking and tightening in the first week or so, but that’s not unreasonable on a bike older than me. The second time, we got a solid Huffy with a cargo rack on the back for the same price of 149. On the way home we noticed there was no kick stand, but I have a few parts bikes that I’m going to pull one off of, and even without my spare, a kickstand is like 15 bucks, and we didn’t notice it, I’m sure the fella would have been happy to put one on. To have two VERY useable bikes for 300 dollars is awesome, especially with the shortage of bikes at big box stores that doesn’t seem to be letting up. Support local guys like BC Bikes!"
