"4 stars for the food, 5 for atmosphere, 2 for the service. If you are looking for good tex mex, this is a great place to start. I have been searching for quite some time around this area to find a place with decent salsa, not just the watery/chunky stuff most places have. This hit the mark in almost every way. Even the plates and presentation was great. Also they have great queso that stayed warm for a decent amount of time. My only complain with the food was the fajita vegetables were not cooked at all, they need to spend some time on the grill before going out. The atmosphere was really fun. Decorations are great and the music is just spot on. Not too loud but noticeable and makes everyone want to dance in their seat. My biggest complaint was the service. We went on a Monday night and there were maybe 3-4 tables at once while we were there. It started out great, but we quickly realized that we would not be served on too much throughout the night. It felt like we were interrupting his night and conversation in the back whenever we asked for something. 2 stars because one of the waiters was nice, quick, and always kept our salsa and chips filled when we asked. Overall, I will come back on a busier night and hopefully our waiter will not be working then."

"Today I ate at Senor Tequila in Fairfax. What an amazing restaurant with the authentic Mexican decor to the seats, the walls, the tabletop artistry, and overall ambiance really had me feeling I was in a nice tavern in Yucatan or Mexico City. I ordered the Poblanas Enchilada with a side of rice and black beans. The sauce poured over the wrapped in a tortilla, which was the most popular way to eat in the Aztec Empire pre-columbia days, was savory toasty and taste bud satisfing because you could taste the chocolate and the 50 peppers in the sauce. For dessert I had the Fried Ice Cream and that was delectably delicious and satisfying at all levels. Servers Paul and Yendry did a great job explaining the details of the meal and the history of the restaurant. They even took care of an issue at the end with a check and the Manager took care of everything. Overall a great experience at a wonderful restaurant in the heart of city of Fairfax."

"Pretty nice atmosphere with some of the friendliest staff I've met. However, the food was lacking. The paella has no crunch, no socarrat, just burnt food. Tasted like they flash burned it in a pan. The rice did not have much flavor. The other food was good though, especially the guac."

"This was my first visit to Señor Tequila’s. I was so delighted by the beautiful artwork and colorful atmosphere. It’s a large place and accommodates a lot of parties. The staff was extremely friendly, we were checked on several times. The parking was easy as well as getting a table on a Saturday evening. Now for the food, I had the street tacos with goat meat. They were absolutely delicious. My party also enjoyed some large burritos. The chips and salsa always make the restaurant for me. And they were very good, fresh and flavorful. We had a side of guacamole and plantains. Which just added to us being overly full when we left. I would highly recommend. And I look forward to visiting again when I am back in Fairfax."
