"I scheduled to have my roots and hair dyed at least a week and a half in advance. When I came in, they said they had the wrong service scheduled in (needed a bleach and tone vs. whatever they had in) and that I needed to come back the next day so I can have the proper service. The person working the front desk (Kelsey?) convinced me to "trust her" and that I will be getting a stylist who knows what they are doing. I came back the next day and had a consultation with the stylist. I was reminded multiple times by her and her instructor that they would be leaving by 5:30pm and the service will take long and that I needed to make a decision on the color/style I wanted asap so they can get started. My stylist also said she cannot cut my hair after the process because there would be no time for that - like what? It honestly felt like they didn't want to do the service and only cared about leaving by 5:30. I felt pressured to rush my decision despite coming in on time for my appt. The stylist then put bleach in my hair. After 15 mins, she said that it was not lifting my hair at all and nothing could be done. The instructor checked on my hair too and said the same. They said something about a boxed dye or henna being in my hair preventing the bleach from lifting which makes no sense b/c nether were used on my hair. I had to go to a last minute appt with my usual stylist who thankfully got my hair bleached and dyed properly that same day. The front desk person was inconsiderate when I thanked her for her help despite everything going wrong. She had a cold response and didn't care to offer her apologies. It was a waste of my time to come here. I waited 1.5 weeks and commuted for 2 days to this place for nothing at all to be done for me except waste my time."

"In my experience, I got my perm done, but much to my surprise my hair stopped being curly after a few days. I followed the directions they gave me (not to get your hair wet for at least 72 hours after the perm, etc.) and yet much to my surprise after 1 week it was impossible to tell I had even got a perm. I don't know what the issue was. Everyone at the institute was very nice though."

"I was extremely disappointed with my experience here. I understand it is a learning school, however if you’re charging for services you should be able to do the bare minimum. I went in for a blowout it took over an hour and 20 minutes and I specifically told her from the initial consultation that I wanted curls and volume with the blow out. As I know how I want my hair and since it’s done quite often to my hair I know how it should look. I’ll tell you, it was not good at all. I worry for those people who are learning from the school if they haven’t even been able to do a basic blowout. Please do better to educate your students, perhaps actually stay with them while they do the work. Please see the attached photo of my hair immediately after I got to my car. There was no volume or curls and I told the girl it’s fine I’ll go home and do my hair since you guys can’t do it. The discount in service does not end up being worth it when the service is bad. It’s a big waste of your time. I would not recommend going to this place unless it is absolutely free. Even then it’s a tossup."

"I just had the most fun time here! I wanted a big change cut-wise and I thought it'd be fun to see what the students here would do. Seth was so, so awesome! They did a great job, I love it. They were so fun to talk to and the process was super clear. Cindy was the teaching guide and she was also super fun. It takes a little longer than a regular place but I definitely had more fun here than at my last few hair salons. Definitely give them a try! And you honestly can't beat the prices."
