"Awesome Scuba Diving lessons from Jerry Bayus !! If you want a quick review then --- Reliable, efficient,affordable, knowledgeable, flexible with timing and someone who cares about you and your scuba diving skills. He made Scuba learning a fun experience. He takes the right amount of time with each of his students individually to make sure that they are comfortable underwater. He teaches at a relaxed pace, that people of all age groups can catch up with. Expect to spend about 10 hours of class room teaching first, then 10 - 15 hours of pool skills and finally 2 days of open water certification ( 4 dives). Me and my friend were on a tight schedule. But Jerry worked with us and created an ideal schedule to meet our needs for an upcoming Scuba trip. For the final open water dives, we went to Gilboa quarry which is about 3.5 hours drive from his place. But it was worth the dive. We had a lot of fun over the weekend. The quarry is pretty big and you go down as deep as 40-45 feet which is close to your 60 feet limit for beginner`s. This builds up a good amount of confidence in you before you go out in the ocean. Also at the quarry , he had 4 other friends to help us and keep an eye , so that your dives are totally safe under constant supervision. At the end of my fourth dive, I felt much confident about my skills , although it improves with each dive. Most importantly, he focuses on those aspects of scuba diving , which if not taken seriously, can have bad outcomes. he might be a little tough once in a while, but for your own benefit. You do not have to worry about chosing gear, as he has the best available gear at his place for the most reasonable prices. So its a one stop shop. Overall, I would recommend Jerry and RecTec divers to any one within a 60 mile radius of Youngstown. Scuba diving is a unique experience and once you are certified, you are certified for lifetime. So its an activity worth learning and investing in."
