"My prior gynecologist at MedStar transferred my care to Dr. Amy Lee, with whom I'm quite pleased. My complaints are with the Medstar system. The Resident assisting Dr. Lee was unable to pull up any medical history to see surgeries or other important information I've provided over many years. I had to try to recall as best I could. The form I filled out for accuracy when checking in once again had incorrect information for my primary care provider (PCP), confusing her (an M.D. who practices in DC) with someone with the same name (a P.A. who practices in MD). I corrected the form and informed my PCP, who told me she's tried unsuccessfully for years to correct this issue and now Medstar simply ignores her. This results in medical information being sent to the wrong provider, possibly violating federal privacy laws. I would consider going elsewhere because of Medstar's system failures, although I have always had good experiences with their physicians."
