"I had a good experience with Farragut Medical & Travel Care. The staff went very efficient and helpful. My appointment went pretty smoothly. Dr. Bergstrom was very kind and attentive. I really like the absence of any hidden/unexpected costs: I actually paid the $ amount I was told when I made an appointment by phone. Thank you!"

"I'm writing this review in connection with my mother's visit to this practice ahead of her trip to Cote d'Ivoire and Nigeria. My mother's GP was unavailable when she called for travel advice, so the nurse directed her to this travel clinic. They advised my mom that she needed SEVEN vaccines ahead of her trip. To be clear, she only needed one, but they took advantage of the fact that she didn't know any better. They administered all seven of the vaccines on the same day, which is so ludicrous I am still reeling at the thought. Obviously it's not unheard of to administer multiple vaccines at once, but knowing that (1) they were not all necessary, (2) she would be traveling for over 24 hours shortly thereafter, putting her body under additional stress, and (3) charging her for seven instead of just the one means they brought in over $1,000 instead of just $200, the choice to subject her to that many at once seems DEEPLY UNETHICAL. The deluge left her feverish with flu-like symptoms for the entirety of her time there and she is only just making a full recovery, days after her return to the U.S.. I'm not trying to sound like an anti-vaxxer as we are militant about getting our annual shots, but I am incredibly unimpressed. Medical care comes with a degree of trust. I am giving this place the courtesy of two stars only because it was relatively easy for my mother to make an appointment here in a tight window and they were very flexible with timing. Of course, I imagine it's easy to be flexible when you're banking on a significant pay day."

"Rudely rescheduled me with less than 24 hours notice without any alternatives that day. Update: after traveling all the way down, the civil surgeons refused to see me after confronting me about the 1* review."

"I had an awful experience at Farragut Medical and Travel Care. They were disorganized. They misread my vaccine history, and then up charged me because of their mistake of misreading my vaccine history. They have a clause stating there is an increased consultation fee if you don’t get a vaccine during your appointment, and because they misread my vaccine history, which I submitted before my consultation, I was ineligible for the vaccine I had planned to get. I was the one who pointed out this error as I was reading over my patient rights and the nurse was getting ready to stick me with the needle. I could’ve been seriously hurt and sick! Instead of apologizing for their error, Farragut Medical and Travel Care charged me an extra $65 for not getting the shot which I medically was ineligible for, and management came into the room to blame me for the situation. I did not raise my voice, cause a scene, or fuss, but I was so disappointed with how management lacked accountability. Additionally, they had poor communication between the front desk and the medical staff, as they had no clue what had happened to me and tried to charge me many different prices before settling on the up charge. I also had to ask multiple times for accurate and complete documents before leaving. The doctor didn’t even date my yellow card. They were not compassionate of my situation, and I would not recommend this establishment to anyone."
