"By far the best specialty running store I've experienced ... I'm visiting from NYC for the holidays, and when I mentioned to a family friend that I needed new running shoes, they instantly recommended Second Sole, and I'm glad they did! While New York has many brand flagships and specialty shops (Paragon, SuperRunner, etc), the service is almost always poor & disinterested, and inventory (esp at SuperRunner) is very spotty ... The fellow who helped me at Second Sole was both patient and well-informed, and while I walked out with what I intended to buy in the first place, it was very useful to be able to try on a number of viable alternatives I never would have considered, without feeling rushed. Very good selection of other gear & clothing ... A great local small business worth supporting!"
"This place was absolutely wonderful and the workers there were excellent to deal with. I’m bad with names so I forget the gentleman‘s name but I walked in and explained to him that I needed some quality cushioned running shoes and he assisted me very well. He measured my feet and had me walk around a little bit to see how my walk was and then brought some shoes out that he recommended based on these factors. I would definitely recommend this place and highly suggested to anyone that needs help finding the right running shoes. Employees were very hands-on with helping me."
"I just left this place, and I will never be back!! It's so funny when a young girl is going to tell me what shoes I need for my body. I showed her the shoes I wanted, and then she proceeded to show me the ones I needed. I wonder if she has a lot of experience with bone disorders ? I've been in a pair of Nike 270s for the past 2 years, not for running, because that's what feels good for my body!! They lost a customer!!"
