"We have been working with Dr. Cornish of Amen Clinic's Reston location close to 1.5yrs now for my high school student daughter's complex chronic health issues. My daughter also had four concussions and was diagnosed at the Children's National Hospital with "post-concussive syndrome." She has to live her life in constant pain, dizziness and at times with nausea. I agree with every single review here on Dr. Cornish that expresses great satisfaction with her care and expertise. I want to keep this short and sweet: Dr. Cornish is a great MD who couples her wide array of tools from functional/holistic medicine with whatever tools of conventional medicine that are needed for the case at hand, tailer's a healing/treatment plan for the patient, educates her patients, and makes it clear and easy to follow instructions every step of the way. We had been to other functional medicine doctors in the past for my daughter's chronic and complex medical issues, but no other doctor was able to actually trigger in my teenage daughter a willingness to take the necessary medications and supplements consistently, and the realization that she as the patient has a great responsibility in helping herself get well. Dr. Cornish connected with my daughter really well and eased her into the treatment plan without overwhelming her, baby step after baby step. Today, my daughter's symptoms are better, lab results are getting better, and she is happier than before, able to function for longer periods of time in the day despite her symptoms. She likes her doctor very much too. Additionally, we have had no issues with the front desk staff or Dr. Cornish's assistants. Everything has been to our satisfaction. Finally, I know Amen Clinic does not work with insurance companies, but the expertise they have and provide is well worth it. We are not a wealthy family, but we believe that the biggest investment we can make is the one that is for our own health. I would rather be with the best care I can get than continue to watch my kid suffer with so many severe symptoms. I guess my review ended up being not so short, either. :-)"

"I am grateful for Dr Cornish as she is knowledgeable ,she listens and she has a positive attitude . Although the front desk , appointment and communication is an absolute struggle. I was told to email , but email is not read ?? either . There are definitely training of all kind of service for front desk is advisable ."
