"Had a designer come out to my home and wouldn't answer the most basic of questions. What color scheme should I go with? "Oh, whatever you want would be fine." Should I go light or dark in this room? "I'm sure either would look great." And then 2 weeks go by and I came into the showroom to see actual samples (that he said he would bring to my home but DIDNT) he had no time for me, pawned me off on a young lady who was nice but didn't know what she was doing. When he actually figured out that I was going to buy a couch, he suddenly was texting and asking how everything was going - LITERALLY NO HONEY. This store should seriously get designers who are SERIOUS about customer service."

"If I could give zero stars, I would. Not once, but twice they sent me the wrong item. The first time I can understand that mistakes happen, but the second time is absurd. I called customer service so they can right their wrong yet again and was told that item is no longer in Production. It was like pulling teeth to get a supervisor on the line. When I did get a supervisor on the line, they told me there was nothing they could do except offer a refund and 15% off an item. Honestly, I expected a little bit more to make up for their wrongdoing, and I will never order from here again."

"When you walk into this store you’re immediately greeted by employees who go out of their way to run in the other direction of you. Your arrival is met with an acknowledging eye contact and then immediate dismissal. You’re made to feel as if you’re bothering the staff by saying hello or asking for assistance. Undoubtedly, each time I go to this store for a return or to make a purchase I’m sent back and forth between multiple registers all because associates refuse to assist the customers. I’ve waited 20-30 minutes at the register while associates continue their conversations amongst themselves. And hopefully, you never find yourself in need of assistance. You’ll be talked down to like you’re incompetent and less then. I will never shop at a PB store again. I’ll also make sure that I go out of my way to avoid this store the same way its associates go out of their way to ignore customers!"

"Pottery Barn do something! You see all the negative reviews regarding customer service?! This store has the worst customer service. Staff are snubs (for what reason?? it’s laughable) and they act like they are too important to approach and help customers."

"Recent Pottery Barn experience: 0 out of 5. Purchased discounted open-box living room furniture items from PB back in February for our new house as a way to stay within budget. Only 1 out of 3 items was ever delivered, despite being prepaid. In one case, a delivery day was set up, but the item never arrived. Had to call and find out it had been canceled. No explanation for why. That item did get refunded. PB communication has been extraordinarily poor. Information wrong. Items were not able to be located. Was promised callbacks on status and didn't get them. Was also told by one rep. that the worst-case scenario if the couch could not be located that it would be replaced by a new one at no extra cost... just a long wait time (already been waiting over 2 months). Today I called and was told that they won't offer that option, but will have to cancel it altogether. Still waiting on compensation for the "lost" couch. Now I won't be able to afford to get another one to match it with the other one I did get, intending it to be a set. I did everything possible on my end to resolve the situation calmly and patiently and was treated rudely by one customer service person. Cannot recommend PB. I don't normally post bad reviews, but maybe it will save somebody some frustration. GOOD GRIEF! #potterybarn"
