"Vinson has been my vet for decades. My family took our pets there when I was a minor, and now I've been going there with my many dogs and 1 cat. I lived in the city, and now I live in Edgemere, but distance does not matter. The quality of service this practice provides is unmatched. They have always made time for me in cases of an emergency and have been available to talk options through over the phone. In particular, I want to highlight the experience I've had with Dr. Smith and one of my dogs, who is not great with strangers to start with but will absolutely refuse being examined, poked and prodded, by any vet. Getting her into the vet for anything was a constant point of stress for me, to the point where I let her vaccines lapse, while for months desperately and unsuccessfully trying to get her into a muzzle. Dr. Smith was there for me every step of the way to offer advice, options for sedative medications, and ultimately, a safe solution. Whenever my dog goes to see them now, it's still an event at the office with multiple techs, clearing the waiting room, etc. but it's actually the least stressful I've ever felt about getting my dog care. We know what we are doing and I don't have to fear the alternatives. I feel valued as a client that they are willing to do this and so thankful that they have fit my difficult dog in with no judgement. I would recommend Vison's to anyone."

"I have taken dogs here for 25 years. I had tried other veterinarians before finding Vinson Animal hospital for my first dog. Dr. Smith and Dr. Kakel are wonderful. The use positive reinforcement with lots of pets and treats to make dogs feel comfortable. They explain things well in layman's terms and if something is outside of their expertise they call in professionals (my dog had an eye issue and rather than trying to treat it themselves they sent me to a dog opthalmologist). They also allow you to stay during shots and blood draws etc which some vets don't do. I definitely recommend them to all pet owners."
