"Worst Harris Teeter I've ever been to. This has nothing to do with the inventory/cleanliness/cost , which is totally fine. It's just that the checkout process here is horrible. No matter what time of day you are here, there are never more than 2 people working checkout lanes. This means that most people use self checkout, which wouldn't be an issue if there were more than 4 of them. This leads to lines that can reach the back of the store and upwards of half an hour to wait in line. Half of the time I come here, I just leave because the checkout lines are so bad and I don't want to wait 20 minutes for 3 items that I can just get at the Markets at Highlandtown. This store needs a fundamental redesign. Scrap any of the 12 checkout lanes that aren't being used and turn them into additional self checkout lanes."

"Here's the thing. It's 5:15 PM, and HT only has *3* check out lanes open, including self-check. They're all at least 5 customers deep, all extending back up the aisles. HT is a good grocery store, especially at, say, 10:30 AM on a Wed., but this is the situation every. Single. Weeknight. And has been for months, if not years. I don't know why they can't seem to hang on to enough employees to fully staff, but they need to get their act together. Because in the amount of time I've been standing on line, a.) I've written and edited this review, and b.) I could have gone out to a store in the *county* and been home by now."

"Great grocery store! They have a HUGE variety of ice cream and other products. The produce is always fresh, too. The sushi bar has a lot of selection and they will make something for you if you ask. There are also a lot of baked goods and cakes to choose from for birthdays or events."
