"Store is GONE! I visited on 12.18.2023. It's closed. Be great if website and Google were updated since I drove 40 minutes to shop there :("

"Despite the lack of inventory knowledge and stock I managed to find a nice pair of shoes that suited my purpose. Upon checking out however I made a comment about how using our credit card for everything meant information being shared. The salesman an older guy named Tim (I think) started talking about how we were becoming a socialist country due to the current President's policies. He continued this unwarrented and unnecessary political discourse throughout the transaction and even onto the sidewalk stating "I know things you don't know" when I questioned the veracity of his statements. I asked where he got his information. "Have you ever heard of Steve Bannon?" he said. Of course I replied and attempted to steer the discussion back to middle ground by stating I got my news from PBS, BBC and other souces. "Leftist propaganda, government funded" he replied. I answered that I had worked for PBS and only 1 per cent of their funding is from government. Anything I said fell on deaf ears as he continued - the election was stolen, the worst is yet to come etc etc. Needless to say this ruined what could have been a nice shopping excursion and made me vow to never return to this store."

"Disappointing visit due to woeful and inexcusable lack of knowledge. I went today after my PT recommended I try Van Dyke's for more cushioned shoes to stop flaring up my sciatica on hard walking surfaces (basically everywhere but trails). I'd heard they had comfort shoes and even custom made ones so I was hopeful. Only to be told that my only option was a running shoe and I would have to choose between cushioning and stability but could not have both! Having researched online I know this is simply NOT true. I was not even offered a suggestion for another store. So I went to Charm City Run right down the road where the salesman agreed I had been given misinformation and he could think of three shoes which would provide both. Shame on you Van Dyke & Bacon. I'm not impressed."

"Heard about their great service on WBAL ads. Went to the Cockeysville Store mid December and I am between sizes in shoes. They did not have a 14 or a 15 so she said she would order both and I could try them on. After Christmas she called to tell me one came in but not the other. I told her I do not live close I will wait until they are both in. the second week of January someone calls me and asked if anyone called me to tell me the shoes are in which I said no. They said they are in. I told them I do not live close I will come by the next time I am in the area and they said ok. On Wednesday Jan 15th I called them and asked what time they are open until, and was told 7:00 pm. I got there 6:55 and the lights were off. I went there on Jan 26th (Sunday) and they are closed on Sundays. I stopped by last week and the lady tells me they sent the shoes back.,,,,,,,,,,,,,but she can bring them in again. No thanks went on Amazon on Friday and the exact same shoes were delivered on Saturday."
