"All of the people there are friendly and helpful from the time you walk through the door till your job is finished. The guys laying the flooring did such a great job tearing out in one day and putting in the next day. It was not a small job either. I will use them again in the future."

"Ordered flooring and was told multiple times it was coming in. Still never received a clear update so I ended up doing the leg work by calling the supplier and found out when my flooring was supposed to be in. I called and spoke to the manager who didn't seem as though he wanted to spend the time to research the issue. Not impressed with customer service at all from this company."

"I used Essis and sons for installation of vinyl plank flooring in a large downstairs room. They initially told me that they needed to remove some brick flooring in one section, which was going to involve a lot of labor, so the estimate was high. Once they showed up, the installer refused to remove the brick flooring and ended up using leveling compound to taper to the lower subfloor next to the brick, which left a slope. I was also never refunded for all that labor that never happened. Also, because of not removing the brick, the moldings that they had pre-painted were too big (they chose a larger molding to cover any gap from removing the brick), so they just left some unpainted moldings for me to paint and install myself, again with no refund for the mistake. They also failed to take into account that once my existing carpet in the rest of the room was removed, there would be a 3/4 inch gap between the subfloor and the molding that quarter round wouldn't be able to cover. They just never bothered to check. Because of this, they had to move all of the moldings, which left an area that needed to be repainted and nail holes that needed to be patched, which I had to hire someone to do out of pocket. Needless to say, I was upset on installation day (which ended up being two days because of the moldings). When I tried to contact Chris, he didn't even call me back until the second day. I had to get all the information from the installer, who doesn't even work for Essis & Sons (the installers are freelance and don't work for the company). When Chris finally called me back the morning of the second day of the install, he was extremely rude and condescending. The manager ultimately took Chris off my job and handled the rest himself, but the job was a mess and cost me a lot of extra time and money. This company is basically a flooring store which hires an installer to do the install job, the same as Home Depot or Lowes. What you're supposedly paying the premium for is the expertise to make the right choices and know what the issues are going to be during install. I would recommend finding a flooring company that has more experience and knowledge as well as employees that care about the customer."
