"Had the pleasure of dining at Ruby's on a Saturday evening. They have food like cafeteria style then some items are made to order. My meal consisted of: fried croaker (served piping hot), macaroni and cheese (perfect blend of cheeses, good consistency), cabbage (cooked just right, had carrots which adds to flavor). A piece of cornbread was added (sweet, cake like). My drink was sweet tea. It came in a bottle (right amount of sweetness, served ice cold). Food is ordered, picked up then you can dine in or take out. Got peach cobbler to go."

"I knew once I seen some older black folks pull up to this restaurant I was going to be satisfied. Rubys did not disappoint. I mean the chicken could’ve been a little more seasoned but the sweet potatoes, macaroni, and cheese, rice and gravy and banana pudding was on point. The cornbread was good as well. This was a nice way to end my DMV trip."

"My husband and his staff arrived at 11:30am... Salmon was NOT available. Whoever does inventory, should KEEP it on rotation. The catfish was overly seasoned. The BBQ wings were not as expected. It was fried wings w sauce on it. I was expecting a baked BBQ chicken. The Mac and Cheese was NOT good at all! It's my #1 CHEAT food... I like my pasta 2 have cheese to be in every spoonful. Congealed. The yams were not good, very dry and hard... The cabbage was hard and undercooked... The peach cobbler definitely wasn't like my GRAMS... it needed MORE! The NEW location was very nice... the staff was very warm and welcoming!"

"Order the office's lunch online earlier this week for pickup. Easy parking. He greeted me quickly and told me where I could go to pick up my order. Candy allowed me to watch her bag everything up so my office wouldn't be mad at me for missing anything. The atmosphere is very inviting. I was about to enjoy the shrimp pasta but ordered Mac and cheese and the holy trinity also. Mac and cheese was heavenly. Greens deliciously taste like home. I enjoyed the bread options, too. Had the cornbread and a honey biscuit. The total was a little over $200. That was 3 shrimp pasta, 2 chicken wing meals, salmon, and 4 drinks. Looking forward to trying other options on the menu from 'cousin'."
