"This was my first vacation through Boscov's Travel. Our agent was very patient and helpful as we decided where we wanted to go. We ended up selecting the Barcelo Bavaro Beach adult only all inclusive resort in Punta Cana. Throughout the entire planning process our agent continued to be available and helpful with all the aspects of confirming reservations, flights, etc. However, there were so many issues and problems upon arrival that it dampened my enthusiasm somewhat hence the 4 stars instead of 5. We asked for adjacent rooms - we were assigned 2 different buildings. We had the resort change our rooms and there were 3 broken items in one room that it took them 3 days to address. My first room had a disconnected toilet and the second room had a TV that didn't work and was about as far away from my friend's room as it could be in the same building. Plus, the new rooms were not in the adult section but in the families with children section. Almost no one at the resort spoke English which made it impossible to get any meaningful assistance. This included the restaurants we went to which made ordering a trying experience. We chose this particular resort because it was advertised that they had a tennis pro who could give lessons and arrange play. They did NOT. I would not recommend this resort unless you speak Spanish."
