Maru Korean Cuisine & Sushi

"My husband and I love coming here as it’s close to us and a place where we can get both sushi and Korean food. My husband isn’t the biggest fan of sushi so it’s great that he has so many different options while I can get my sashimi, specialty rolls (I.e., Love Roll) or salmon avocado rolls. He loves their spicy stir fry squid, sundubu, or kimchi jjigae. Their bibimbap is also really good and when we want to splurge we would get the galbi. I’ve also come here by myself for lunch and get their bento boxes that they have Tues to Sunday 11:30 to 2:30pm and it’s such a great deal with the amount of food you get! I like how they also give you a house salad (their dressing is yummy) and miso soup with many of their dishes. Their menu is very extensive so it’s great for groups too as there’s a variety to choose from. The restaurant doesn’t have too many tables though, very cozy and it can get very busy during prime time so I recommend to come early for dinner or come on a weekday instead of a weekend if you can! There’s a good amount of free parking in the back. This is a family runned business so when it is busy, do have patience as they usually have two servers and they also manage a lot of to-go orders as well. They’re always very friendly when we go and we love sitting by the window. Highly recommend coming here!"

"Family dinner here was great, the restaurant was full on a Sunday night. Every dish had a unique aspect that sets it apart from other Korean and sushi restaurants. My favorite was the Love roll! Friendly service completed the experience."

"My husband and I come here weekly. We always get the avocado salad and two bibimbaps in the hot stone bowls with short rib. The food is fantastic but the atmosphere is also so lovely. Its well lit (while still not being too bright), soft music, great service, and never a wait but somehow always people at other tables. Its just an enigma of the perfect neighborhood spot."

"The best authentic Korean food we’ve ever had. We started with a coffee leaf tea, blue Maryland Crab crunch roll, and steamed dumplings. They were all full of flavor and absolutely perfect. I don’t see any room for improvement. Absolutely incredible. The Bulgogi was so tender, juicy, and full of full bodied flavor. It was prepared excellently, and served with rice. The home made ginger salad dressing that comes with your salad is also amazing. If you like Korean food, or are looking to expand your palette, I highly recommend. 10/10! Their sushi is hand prepared by a sushi chef to order. The ingredients are the highest quality sushi ingredients I’ve ever had. From the first bite of everything, it was truly a moment to remember. Service is excellent also, very kind people are working and running this store."
