"I take less-than 5 star reviews seriously, so hopefully I can explain why after our dinner tonight. I have been here several times over the years, likely not in the past 2-3. My boyfriend and I decided to take my mother there tonight to revisit (especially because my boyfriend loves absinthe). I’m unsure what went on recently regarding the liquor license, but currently, we were saddened to see a drop in available cocktails. And no absinthe. The cocktail my boyfriend purchased as a back-up was nice, but just not the same as what he truly wanted. The food took quite a long time to arrive, even tho there were few customers present. Perhaps they were busy with takeout. I was not overly thrilled about my dinner, but it was good enough. Boyfriend enjoyed his burger. I’m hoping this restaurant pulls through. If people from Black and Blue ever take a look at these reviews, I’m genuinely curious what happened to the absinthe/will it be coming back."
"All I can say is John Morgan Kimock is on drums on Taco Tuesday. That is reason enough to come out. But the other guys playing are all better than you could imagine. This is an epic night of songs and jams. I personally don't love the Tacos, but My God, try the "Chicken Burger". And they have true Vegan and Vegetarian Feed."
"This place is amazing for vegan options! Everything tastes like home and so original. I went last night and just ordered again today. Their vegan bbq wings are the best I’ve ever had! The service was fantastic as well! This will definitely be my new spot to get vegan food from!"
"Their menu, including drink menu is fabulous. The decor is very cool--the bones of the original Black and Blue owner's style remains, making the atmosphere a big draw. Food quality was average (burger patty thin, some little bone/cartridge pieces in it; mussels obviously farmed and all the same overplumped consistency), but presentation excellent. Their fries are stellar. Vegan and vegetarian options are a plus."
