"Peter (the owner of Silver Star Motors) is a straight shooter. His mechanics are fantastic, too. He maintains my 1993 400SEL, 2006 S430, and 2012 E550. Peter tells me, especially on the 1993 400SEL, if he can't correctly figure something out (not because of experience but because of not having older diagnostic tools). He refers me to a shop/mechanic to see. Also, Peter always gives me choices on how to attack a problem once he diagnoses it and is clear about the solution he recommends. He hasn't been wrong, ever. Peter / Silver Star Motors was recommended to me by the owner of AutoScandia back in 2015, and I've been coming here ever since. I recommend Peter wholeheartedly without pause. Also, know that the cost of maintaining a Mercedes is high. For the same service, it will be higher than most other brands. Expect that. And know that the costs don't get lower as your car ages. I have two suggestions. 1) Bring it to someone with expertise and experience, like Peter/Silver Star Motors, and 2) if you have any mechanical aptitude, learn how to do the essential maintenance yourself on your Mercedes."
