"Wow, seeing these photos of the park give me nostalgic feeling. My father use to always take me here after we left Dr. Steermans office when I was little. Yes my father is still with us but I wanna now take my daughters down here even though we no longer live in the area. The feeling of this area from the mid 80 to early 90s are times I miss. Magruder park, college parkway those are areas that made me who I am today. Never realized it would mean do much to me."
"I used to love this place, but lately the trash has been out of control. Just another example of people disrespecting free public spaces. It’s a shame"

"This pond has some of the most animal life I've ever seen for a pond this size! I saw at least 20 turtles sunning themselves on logs (and others swimming around), as well as a couple of muskrats, frogs, and guppies. Plus there's a bald cypress tree growing in the middle of the lake. Really neat place!"
"We LOVE this park. My wife uses the northwest trail that goes through this park to bike to work. We take our daughter down to play on the playground and in the creek. I use the route to jog. It's the perfect local park with trees, playground, trails, and fields for sports. The only thing that would make it better would be real toilets. There is a port-a-john near the pond and another by the basketball courts, but real toilets would make this the best park."
