Genova's To Go

"After looking them up on Google, it was between them and another restaurant near by. My friend and I decided to go to Genovas in Hanover because their website read that they close at 10. That would give us time. So we thought. We got there ordered our food at 8:20PM. There was a feeling of attitude from the girl taking the order, which we found out later was the manager. While eating our food, they started pulling up chairs and mopping around us.This was like around 8:40. I asked my friend if he was sure they close at 10. So I asked the girl mopping around 9:50, are you all getting ready to close? She said yes, but you're fine. So then the manager starts getting irritated and let's us know they were closing , do you want take out boxes. I had a couple bites left of my sub. At that point I felt like I couldn't finish two stinking bites feeling like i had to cram my food down my throat,cause she couldn't wait and giving us the rush act out the door. I tossed my sub in the tray went to the restroom to wash my hands. I'm surprised they let me do that. My friend tried to get a refill and they already turned off the soda machine. The manager told the employee leave it off. I came back out of the bathroom and told the so called manager that they need to change the website time that they close at 9 instead of 10 and that they should have told us when they were taking our order . She and the girl cleaning said that they did which was a lie. Then she started talking over me getting louder, Good night sir, have good night sir. For being a manager she has no idea what customer service was. It was only 9:02 and she couldn't wait a couple more minutes for me to finish two bites. She also informed me that they wanted to go home just like I want to. So in other words, her only concern was getting out of there and going home. Never mind over 45 dollars was spent there. Very poor customer service. That says to me poor work ethic and no care for the customer only about herself. I don't believe the customer is always right. But I don't think letting me finish my meal for a few more minutes was unreasonable."

"Came here for the first time in what feels like a few years. We got the pizza, fries, curly fries, mozzarella sticks, and a turkey sub (which is not pictured). Everything tasted just like it did the last time I was here, which was delicious. The sub eater said that everything inside of the sub was delicious, but that the roll was very, very chewy."

"This is one of my top places to get my favorite sub; Italian sub. The flavors are so good! My husband loves their pizza, personally I'm not a pizza fan, but on behalf of him, he recommends! I've dined in and had delivery so far! They said the order would take an hour, but 25 min later they were pulling up! Highly recommend stopping in sometime if you're in a pizza/sub mood!"

"First time here in many years. Friendly service and good prices. We got a 20" pizza and loaded fries. Our friends got past and a 16" pizza half cheese and half pepperoni. Pepperoni was spicy which I don't mind. Pizza was pretty good and thin. Could have cooked a tad longer to make bottom a little less floppy but otherwise pretty good. Fries was loaded with 3 cheeses and bacon. Very tasty. I will definitely need to go back and try their subs."
