"When we first moved here and were looking for a mechanic my step father recommended at the time Babcock's which has since changed it's name to Charlie's. They have always been great to deal with, always get us in in a timely fashion and work with us when trying to figure out big repairs. I've been able to ask him questions without him being impatient with me. Including the cold morning my car wouldn't start and I called him for advice. Or the time my husband didn't remember a repair we'd had recently despite me knowing it was done but to humor him well they were working on other stuff I asked Bob about it. He told me we had plenty of time left. Plenty of mechanics would have taken us for the extra money but not these guys. He's real with what we drive and how long we can wait for repairs and has honored quotes even when prices went up after the quote. As a woman he hasn't treated me any differently some mechanics like to take advantage of women he's never made me feel like he's being shady to me. He usually can get parts very quickly and checks with me before just doing extra work we didn't discuss that he noticed needed doing. Now if you want to do Charlie's right you schedule for late morning on a nice day and walk the couple blocks up to town and wander the lovely businesses and restaurants well the guys get your car in shape. Now for today.... my kid has been sick for 3 days and finally got the taste to eat but it was for something in Westfield 20 min away. On my drive down 76 my windshield wiper driverside went. There's no good places to stop for driverside repairs on 76 esp with lots of snow. I finally got to stop and check it out when I got to the corner in town. I knew there was a screw that got loose years prior but I couldn't find it. Charlie's was a couple buildings down. So I stopped to ask for advice. Despite being very busy Bob fixed it for me on the spot and had me on my way. This tired stressed momma appreciates these guys so much I was able to walk in with food right as the kid finished saying how hungry she was. These guys have a customer for life in me. Everytime I have needed them they have been there. Thank you Charlie's! Seriously thank you!"
