"When talking about "hidden gems" this is the type of establishment they are talking about. Such a charming atmosphere with unique cuisine. The attention to detail with every dish is impressive from appetizers to dessert and the owners/staff are always wonderful. I look forward to my yearly trip to Vermont and even though it's 9 hours away from home I can say with confidence that The Derby Line is one of my top 3 favorite restaurants of all time. If you have the chance rent a room and stay for breakfast, you won't regret it. I would have taken pictures of the food but I ate it too fast. Highlights: maple creme Brule, escargot, any of the Snitzel and the grapefruit beer. Thank you Fritz, Paula and staff for always making our stop a memorable one ❤"
"We have been at the restaurant on several occasions. Food was good and service was good. We brought some friends over to share the experience. The place was packed , we had a reservation, we sat and ordered a bottle of wine and water. 30 minutes later we had to ask to get our water. Another 30 minutes goes by and new people arrived at the table next to us and they were served before us. When we asked the answer was we didn’t take any appetizer so we had to wait. I was flabbergasted by that answer. The poor inexperienced,young waitress was overwhelmed. The hostess was incredibly rude. Our food was very greasy. Just a very very sad experience. They obviously overbooked and the kitchen staff couldn’t keep up. It sure is not a reason to treat your guests so rudely."
"Amazing meal !! Fresh made-to-order. I had Schnitzel Neuberg with lobster sauce, shrimps and scallops. One of the most delicious things I've ever eaten! Staff and chef are great and friendly. Highly recommend this place."
"Have been wanting to dine here for over 10 years. The stars just did not align. I had a wonderful dining experience with 4 other friends. All felt that the food was fresh, tasty, and the right temperature. Service was exceptional. I'll be back for sure."
"I’m 72 years old with a good memory. I look back on my life and my travels and certain meals shine out. My fiancé and I stayed at this delightful Inn (everything was perfect) and hosted a dinner for 8 in a private room. The whole experience was a 10 but the food was just SO spectacular. Thank you to the owner (and chef) for a delightful experience. It truly was one of , if not the best, dining experience I’ve ever enjoyed."
