"I had Joel at KIA do a set-up and re-fret on my 1986 Fender American Standard Stratocaster. I am the original owner and this was the first re-fret. Joel convinced me to try going with stainless steel frets. While this might not be for everyone the results were amazing. The stainless steel gives the guitar a new sparkle and chime then it had before. I have only typically used the neck pick-up and still do but this gave the guitar even more snap. Fret board is also easier to finger and play with his great detail in rounding the fret edges. Job well done and appreciated. Steve F."

"I brought in an old '70s Alamo Jet tube amp. Nothing fancy but it had a spring reverb that I loved the sound of. It was in rough shape and the "death cap" had finally blown out (luckily, not shorted!). Not a big job, not an expensive piece of equipment, but Joel was great. He understood it had sentimental value, far beyond the price. He took the time to explain everything that was wrong, and all the possible fixes and options.
