"ME Psychotherapy has turned out to be an unprofessional nightmare. My husband and I started our relationship with the organization two years ago & things seemed promising. We found a Couple's Therapist who was pre-licensed & under the mentorship / supervision of a Manager at the practice. It seems that this is the majority of Therapists at this practice - students that are not currently licensed and new to the profession. While there is nothing wrong with that, there is something wrong with allowing cheap labor to impact care, especially when recommendations & mutually agreed upon plans are being ignored to create harm for the patient(s). My husband & I found ourselves in this position. When my husband was unable to make a couple's appointment, our Therapist agreed to just see me. Then, within the following session, he communicated that he should not have seen me without my husband & would not be able to do so ever again. He communicated that our appointment would have to be canceled if we both could not be there. He profusely apologized. Okay, this makes sense. However, what does not make sense is this: months following this misstep, the same Therapist recommended that he should start seeing my husband independently while I see another Therapist for individual counseling. However, he stated we would still see him as a couple one week a month. The other three weeks he would see my husband alone. He stated how he felt this was different than what he had advised against before. He also stated that he would uphold as our Couple's Therapist & counsel from that mindset. He quickly broke this agreement when he allowed my husband to withhold feelings he was having regarding starting a family together - an issue we had been struggling to work through. We had two sessions following my husband's admission, the three of us, and our Therapist did not disclose this information at any point. My husband later disclosed to me & also offered that he & our Therapist had agreed to allow my husband to process the information further before letting me in on this information. This is exactly what our Therapist promised to not do. He explicitly stated that if at any point my husband disclosed something that I should be aware of, he would communicate it. He used the example of "stepping out on the marriage". This was his responsibility. Upon learning of the agreement our Therapist & my husband made behind my back, I removed myself from this Therapist's care. I communicated that it was clear that he had blurred the boundaries he set. I also made it clear that it made no sense why he would recommend this care plan when he so strongly spoke against this dynamic before. I never heard from his direct Supervisor of the Owner of the business. The Owner just happens to also be his wife. Since this experience, I continued my care with my individual Therapist. She was transparent about how upsetting & unprofessional she found my situation to be with my former Couple's Therapist. She communicated that the one thing that Therapists are supposed to uphold is "do no harm". I expressed to her that I was highly disappointed that a Manager never even reached out to me regarding what transpired. She agreed that this was unacceptable. We discussed the situation in detail within multiple sessions because I struggled with the betrayal of someone I was supposed to be able to trust medically. I also was left in a place where the year of work my husband & I had put in together was being completely reset with the need to establish a new relationship with a new Couple's Therapist. This meant we had to establish our history & our issues with someone else all over again. Since, I have been bullied about a "billing issue". I reached out in Jan. re. something that did not seem right. I was assured it was resolved in writing. I am being told I owe money I do not. No invoices existed in their system for me. They were all manually created on 9/7/23 when I requested documentation. They are completely untrustworthy. Whatever they are doing is suspect & unethical."
"We've been using ME Psychotherapy for roughly a year now. My wife and I started with a couple's therapist and both began working with an individual therapist afterwards. We are both business owners and felt a lot of weight with the decisions to balance growing our businesses, fostering our marriage and hopefully starting a family in the future. We proactively sought out help and ME Psychotherapy has provided us with valuable communication tools, better understanding of ourselves and immediate practices to help bring more harmony in our lives. We're very satisfied with our experience and look forward to continuing with them in the years to come!"
"Natasha is great! She's so wise and has helped direct me towards the path of self-love and acceptance. If you're looking for a therapist that won't judge you, is attentive, and kind she is the one. But then again I'm sure you can't go wrong with anyone here, from their bios they all seem like great therapists."
"My experience with Tania doing teletherapy has been so wonderful. She is so compassionate, patient and kind. She has been such a positive addition to my life. Thanks, ME psychotherapy."
"Marisa is very intuitive and great at asking the right questions in order for me to learn better what is going on. She is wonderful! Highly recommend"
