About the Business
Located at 1463 Plank Road in Petersburgh, New York, the Pineridge Cross Country Ski Area is a popular tourist attraction in the area. Nestled in the foothills of the Taconic and Berkshire Mountains, this institution offers hundreds of acres of unspoiled wilderness for visitors to explore.
The trails at Pineridge wind through forests of hardwoods and evergreens, providing a picturesque setting for cross-country skiing. Wildlife such as deer, fox, turkey, beaver, and otter can often be spotted along the wooded trails, adding to the natural beauty of the area.
With 35 Km of expertly groomed and track-set woodland trails, visitors can enjoy skiing along the scenic Poestenkill Creek or up to an elevation of 1746 feet, where they can take in stunning views of the Taconic Range in New York State and Mount Greylock in Massachusetts.
After a day of skiing, visitors can relax at the Lodge with a warm fire, hot refreshments, and good company. Located just a short drive east of the Capital District, Pineridge offers great skiing opportunities for all ages and abilities.
Visitors are advised to call ahead to check the latest conditions, as all events at Pineridge are weather-dependent. Some events may require advance registration and have limited space, so it is recommended to register early. The institution also offers guided snowshoe hikes, ski tours, and special events for groups upon request.

"Trails were beautifully groomed and conditions were phenomenal!! Really gorgeous place! Just a heads up that the "green" trails vary widely in difficulty. A few have some rather steep climbs and ascents that might not be as beginner friendly as others!"
"They have beautiful, windy trails through the woods. They're fun, and it's rarely crowded. That said, the trails are much more rugged than some of the bigger ski areas. But the price is right, and it's so near to the Capital's urban areas. Staff is friendly and helpful."
