"The experience was fantastic overall. They had pages and pages of all different wines, and the whole atmosphere had a "buzz" of excitement and elegance. All of the food itself was cooked to perfection. The picture here is of the Iberian Pork entree they had. I am not used to fine dining, so I was surprised by how small all the servings were, but besides that it was a fantastic experience!!"

"Absolutely LOVED this place! The food was very noticeably homemade, fresh and delicious. The drinks were refreshing, really love the “lavender field” drink. (I think that’s the name of it) Service was also really great considering they’re only in their first month of being open. This is a new place and I hope new customers are patient. It takes time to perfect the puzzle but they have already shown so much potential to be lasting. I’ll be back :)"

"Hello all, Well...we looked up this restaurant out in Buxton and decided to take the chance... we've decided to try new establishments instead of the same old haunts. We were definitely NOT disappointed! It's fabulous!! We were seated immediately and our waitperson was there as we arrived at our table. The atmosphere has an early American feel. Quiet and pleasant. Now the drinks and the cuisine. The photos tell the story...but not the flavor. All made to order,fresh as you can get. Nothing in a can. We enjoyed every mouthful. Will we go back.. that's a definite YES! Cheers"

"I stumbled into the O&E ready for action after a long drive through a picturesque corner of Buxton. The place reeked of charming decadence - all shiny wood and exposed rafters. A nest of luxury lurking behind the folksy facade. We started with the smoked beets. Sweet smoky orbs glistening like demonic eyes, daring you to take a bite. And oh, what a bite it was. An explosion of earthy delight that sent the senses reeling. If pure hedonism had a flavor, this was it. My burger arrived like a tower of sin. Savory pub-style perfection layered with wanton abandon. Shoestring fries scattered like crispy temptations beckoning from all angles. I leaned in, inhaling that beefy perfume before consuming the beast. Nirvana. Throughout the evening, the friendly and attentive servers made us feel right at home, offering spot-on recommendations from the inventive menu. Oak & Ember is a Buxton gem, with upscale yet comfortable surroundings and some of the best American cuisine I've tasted. The flavors and top-notch service made for an unforgettable evening. I can't wait to return and see what culinary masterpieces they conjure up next. This is a must-try if you're in the area or we’ll worth a trip for a special experience."

"Went with friends on opening night and had a blast! An extensive wine list (and opportunity to purchase bottles to bring home), fabulous mixed drinks and a variety of delicious food! Portions and quality were well worth the price point. Excited to have this in the neighborhood, we will be back!"
