The Matterhorn Ski Bar is a unique institution located in Newry, Maine, United States. Inspired by a bar in Zermatt, Switzerland, the Matterhorn is a museum of skiing memorabilia, with a bar made of old skis and a cozy atmosphere. It has been named the best ski bar in the US by SKIING MAGAZINE and offers a mug club with over 700 members. "Super fun apres ski bar a few miles away from Sunday River with live music almost every night! As season passholders, we used to come all the time on the way home from the slopes. However, we can't justify coming anymore as the prices are way overpriced for the quality of food - spent $180 on a few beers, a sandwich, and a shared pizza and salad. Better food options just down the road"
"Good beer selection, but will not order cocktails (we ordered Old Fashion & Moscow mule, and didn't like them) again in here; large portions of the food(entries come Vvvveryyyy slow in busy nights!!!). Ejoyed their Poutine, Nacho Avalanche, Caesar salad, and Monte Rosa pizza. Fun place to hangout with friends and enjoy some live music."
