"I needed two pieces of 12.5" long 18" ASME A-106 seamless pipe. Material was found but unfortunately was 17" in length requiring additional operations. However, pricing was better than the alternatives."

"I came into the shop today with hollow aluminum sign bars that I needed cut down to a certain size. The front desk worker was nice and was unsure if this was a service that they could offer, and it might not have been, so she proceeded to ask a knowledgeable staff member. Diane, a senior member of the company, (perhaps the owner) came out of her office and took one look at me, one look at the sign bar and said "No". There was a short pause, she looked at me again, looked at the sign bar again and said "I'd rather not", so I left. There were no qualifying questions, she didn't ask me what the material was, or what it was for. She didn't inspect the product, or bother at all to understand what a potential customer was looking for or even give a reason as to why they wouldn't be able to provide this service. Regardless of their skill in the metal working industry, I wouldn't trust that they are thorough in any work that they do, quote or advertise. So if you're thinking about being a customer here for any services that they offer my recommendation is simply, "No"."

"Have come here a few times, the first time earlier this year was good, prices seemed fair for a few sheets of 16 gauge galvanized steel for some personal projects, came back to get more, was misquoted on a 1/2 sheet, had a friend go pickup (we're about 1.5h away one-way) and was overcharged. Settled up with one of the staff, and ended up just buying the other 1/2 sheet for a few bucks more, no sympathy from the staff after they admitted they made a mistake and had to make another 3h round-trip. They said a lady, Diane, would call me to perhaps find some other resolution other than "sorry we aren't going to do anything else for you". It has been a few days. I would not recommend this metal supermarket but as they are the only option for smaller orders, you are kinda stuck with what they give you. They claim to have good customer service, but in fact treat you with callousness. I am okay with spending time and money as needed, but the treatment I received is not tolerable. 2 stars because the redeeming factor is the first order was just fine."

"I needed a short Aluminum pipe to fix the broken leg of my grill that is special to me as it was a gift from my mom. I had been all over the place at big and small hardware stores looking for something with no luck. One guy at one of these stores suggested that maybe there’s a place around that sells just metal, unsure if there was such a place that sold by the small piece and not having to buy large quantity. Is there such a place? Yes. After online search, I found the oasis called Metal Supermaket. Diane suggested Al pipe was best fit for my need and had a 6” cut for me. That’s all I needed. And was able to fix grill leg, avoiding having to buy expensive replacement from grill company or aftermarket. And it was such satisfaction to be able to fix. Thanks Diane.
