"I had a late day, so I decided I would get my nails done in the morning, what was nice is that this salon opens at 9:30am. Well I got there for a regular manicure, had a color picked out and sat down at one of the stations. The first thing I noticed was that the station did not seem clean. It had lots of stains, grainy feeling on the desk ( it looks like there was a hole in the desk for collecting any loose powder which it didn’t look like it gets regularly cleaned out either), and there were stains all around the table and on the cushion where you to rest your arms. I made the assumption that they would put something down, a towel or a napkin, but they didn’t. From sitting down, I watched the manicurist clean the bowl where my hands would soak, she did so thoroughly, but even when she came over the metal bowl still looked grimy. I did soak my nails and she immediately went into cutting my cuticles without cuticle oil. After she did the first hand, I pulled it back to look at it and it was atrocious. It looked like a beginner was trying out cuticle cutters for the first time: incomplete and several knicks in my skin. By the time she cut the cuticles on my second hand, I decided not to continue with the manicure because I couldn’t see it getting better from there. I offered to but she didn’t have me pay, and instead I waited for my go-to salon opened up again and they cleaned up my nails well."
