"Neat museum contextualizing Richmond's past and present. Did a great job showing that history isn't just something that happened a while ago, it's happening right now."

"Loved It!! We got there kinda late in the day, I think it was right before they closed, so we ( my bf & I) were the only ones there. He's from this area & he's much older than I am so he enjoyed talking about some of the history he remembers being around for and I enjoyed listening & learning alot about the history of Richmond, Va and even more so about the history of him."

"Visited the Valentine Museum with my son today. Conveniently located close to VCU and within walking distance of pay for street parking and pay parking structure. Many interesting artifacts and photos of Richmond. The Wickham-Valentine home is classic and exquisite. Restored to nearly perfect condition reminiscent of the time. Our docent was extremely knowledgeable about the neoclassical decorations that adorned the home. Highly recommend headed over to Wickham-Valentine home and Valentine Museum for a day of fun and learning. Truly a hidden gem within the hustle and bustle of Richmond."

"Very professional and easy to navigate. The role of the river in the history of Richmond was interesting and human conflict that brought us to today. The Wickham House tour was informative and the house and the people who lived and we're enslaved there were given life. I really was moved by the desecrated statue of Jefferson Davis that came down in 2020. The museum asked for visitor perspectives on how it should be presented. The museum is undergoing an expansion that will further expand their storytelling."

"We attended a Grown Up Scavenger Hunt event and it was glorious. I look forward to returning with our kiddos. There was a vintage print making activity. We toured the Wickham House just before dusk. And, then, we got to pace ourselves and do a Scavenger Hunt in the Valentine Museum. If you live, work, and/or visit here, and want to understand more about the extensive history of the Richmond Metropolitan Region, come here! Explore here!"
