"Went to Sense Salon for the first time yesterday and got the best cut from Cassandra! She is wonderful and really knows what she is doing! Highly recommend Cassandra!!! I will definitely be returning!!!!"

"I was blacklisted from the salon. I guess that helps my street cred? Very pretentious place. During the pandemic after vaccines came out I tried making an appointment at the salon. My elderly Mom was living with me at the time and I also had a baby so I explained this to the salon and asked if I could book with a vaccinated stylist. I was dismissed, as if I hadn’t been a loyal client who had been going to this salon for the last couple years. I was really taken aback by this and replied that I didn’t think it was ok to just brush my reasonable request off, given the circumstances. In response, Erin insulted me, going as far as telling me that I had been rude each time I visited the salon. It was so unprofessional and surprising, especially since I had always been so nice to everyone there and tipped well after each visit. Erin got into an email back-and-forth argument with me! I tried making an appointment almost 2 years after this because I don’t hold a grudge. But Erin refused to book me. Apparently there is a healing studio at the salon. Erin should try it out."

"I’ve been going to Sense for a few years now. I see Erin for color and used to see Lacy and Leigh for cuts (they both left so now I’m in haircut limbo!). However, Samuel has given me a blowout and he’s great, too. Sense is the only salon in DC I keep returning to after living here for 6 years. They’re simply the best at what they do, and make you feel right at home. I recommend them to all my friends! Only con is parking, as I commute here from Alexandria, but I make it work - just show up extra early!"

"God I just love everything about Sense and the fact that I drive from Arlington VA should say enough. Erin has colored my hair for almost 10 years now and she just nails it every time. I have thick long wavy hair that I like a lot blonder than I naturally am, and she somehow does that but also keeps my hair really healthy! Mimi cuts my hair and there is no one that does it like her. She creates the most beautiful soft layers and truly listens to me when I ask to keep the length. The vibe at Sense is amazing and I love supporting a small woman owned business. I can’t recommend this place enough."

"I have had an AMAZING experience at Sense time and time again. I get my hair colored by Erin (Love!) and recently got my hair cut by Leigh (also love!). Erin is phenomenal with color. She understands exactly what you want and the results not only look great - they last. Leigh is also an excellent hair stylist-who will give you exactly what you want. The studio is gorgeous and I love relaxing there after a long day at work. The entire staff is incredibly friendly and you can tell that everyone works well together. I can't say enough great things about this salon and I will definitely be a life-long client!"
