"Took my kids to get shots and it was the best experience. Caring and welcoming staff put the kids at ease and we were done in less than 10 minutes. Highly recommend."

"What an absolute nightmare. Let me just walk you through my experience with this place. I made an appointment for 4:50pm and arrived on time. I was not seen until 5:25pm, when the nurse finally opened the door, and she wasn't even attending to another patient the whole time. She was alone in the room working on something else during the first 35 minutes of my appointment time. I come for an STD screening and tell her my symptoms. Now this is where it gets bad- the nurse then went on to spend 30 MINUTES shuffling through swabs and sample tubes around the room trying to find ones that weren't expired (yes, I asked her, and that was indeed the problem- all the supplies in the room were expired). When I finally express my discontent at having waited over an hour now since my appointment time and still having no tests done (minute clinic? more like hour clinic), she says she can use the expired swabs and I agree out of desperation. I did not leave my 4:50pm appointment until 6:15pm!!! She didn't even do all the tests I wanted done but I didn't even care at that point! By far the most unprofessional and agonizing health appointment I've ever had to experience, this was my first experience with a minute clinic and I will not be returning to one EVER again. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!"

"Nurse practitioner on site was nasty and rude and overwhelmed even with no one there waiting for her. Obviously she didn't want to be there."

"On vacation, I started feeling run down on Saturday evening. First thing Sunday morning I went to the CVS minute clinic to get a flu test and, potentially, some Tamiflu. The flu test came back negative, but when pressed, the NP said the test was "perfectly accurate." I asked to be given Tamiflu based on my symptoms (fever (I run low, around 97,and kept telling her that 101 is not a low grade fever for me, she blew me off), high respiration, cough, sore throat, body aches, Chills, headache), and she would not prescribe it for me.. Saying I didn't need it. Well, fast forward to Tuesday (too late for the Tamiflu) and I am now running a 103 fever with pulse Ox issues, and the Doctor on Demand I contacted sent me directly to the ER. She was angry that the person I saw on Sunday didn't give me the Tamiflu, stating you treat the person.. Not arbitrary numbers... And you don't rely on the flu test if the person is presenting with classic flu symptoms...standard protocol, right now, is to give Tamiflu anyway is the person is presenting with the flu. Well, so now I'm in the ER, dehydrated and needing oxygen, with potential pneumonia. We need to be able to trust our care providers, and when they are not giving us accurate information, maybe they should reevaluate their standard of care. Update: I ended up spending 4 days in the hospital due to complications from the flu virus. After a few months to think about it, I have two fairly large problems with the care I received here. First, I specifically asked if the flu test was accurate. I was told that the test is "perfectly accurate." After doing research, I come to discover that the CDC states that rapid flu tests are only around 50-70% accurate, and can have a high number of false-negatives at the height of the flu season. The CDC recommends using rapid flu tests as only a small part of the treatment, asking providers to treat the patient vs. relying on the test. This was not done in my case. The second is that I asked to be prescribed Tamiflu, just in case, as I was on vacation from Florida and in the company of 3 children in a hotel room (and the flu vaccine doesn't seem to be as effective this year... of course). The provider told me it was unnecessary, as I didn't have the flu. The failure to follow proper guidelines and to take such a cavalier attitude with CDC recommendations, especially acknowledging that I was in a situation to be in close proximity to children, is what truly bothers me about the care I received here. If the provider had been educated, informed, or cared in the slightest, I would have been given the rx for Tamiflu and not ended up in the hospital. As the next doctor I spoke to said, "it's like you received zero educated care... and, in fact, you didn't just receive no care, you actually received the wrong information.""
