"Let me say this first and foremost, this review is not about the medical staff. I have no complaints with the staff and the care i received over a 4 day stay. This review is based solely on the hospital, the equipment and the overall condition of the building contents. I was suffering a medical emergency. Nyack was the closest hospital. I was brought in by the triage nurse. When trying to take my blood pressures , the equipment would not work correctly. After getting another machine, this also didn't work. After several attempts, a proper operating tester was procured. This was also the case with the 02 finger tester. More medical equipment snafu's occured on the floor when i was taken to a room. Lights not working, others not being able to be turned off. This may not seem like a lot but had this been a more severe episode, different results could have had a greater impact on everyone involved. It should also be noted that no linen was exchanged during this 4 day stay, the room and bathrooms only cleaned the last day of the stay. This "corporate hospital" needs to properly equip the staff and pay them what they deserve, instead of cutting corners and pay. Until the equipment concerns are addressed, save yourself and cross the bridge to Westchester or head south to Bergen County"

"My recent surgery at Nyack Hospital went smoothly. My urologist did a great job. The nursing staff was very attentive and supportive. The administrative functions were handled timely and without incident. The entirety of the day went very well. I arrived at 6:30 AM for a surgery scheduled for 8:00 AM. By 1:30 PM I was released. The seven hours in between I was treated extremely well."

"The staff here is like a breath of fresh air. They are all so kind from front desk to the nurse to the doctor. "The hospital was clean and beautiful. When we arrived at registration, the staff was very friendly and made the process very easy. Every nurse, doctor, anesthesiologist and medical student were kind, caring and very helpful throughout my entire experience. The nurses in the recovery rooms were AMAZING. They, especially, were so patient, attentive and kind."
