"One star for a nice building. -4 to Dr. Bone for not knowing her pronouns or titles. Refused to let me see my dad x3 times, despite him wanting to see me and loves me and likewise. A corporation. Not a hospital. Dr. Bone has daddy and mommy issues, and can’t string together a sentence coherently, saying “umm ummm ummm”. “Ummm sir sir “"

"I was completely disrespected, disregarded, and tossed aside at this hospital. Whenever I tried to express my concerns about physical pain that I felt, the doctors and technicians chose to ignore my comments. My patient report is full of "quotes" that I never said during my time there. Doctors and nurses in the ER ward failed to take my blood after SEVEN TRIES even after puncturing BOTH of my wrists and arms. The nurses SQUEEZED my wrists like they were wringing a towel to try to get blood to flow for the test. When I asked for my meal and water, my request was ignored for hours. This left me, an ill patient, hungry and thirsty for hours as I waited for one of the nurses to supply me with basic life necessities. When I finally received my meal, the milk I was given was spoiled and thick. I spit it out after trying to consume it. I'm assuming my beverage was left unrefrigerated for hours on end. I have countless occasions in which the medical staff treated me poorly. When I struggled to pick up objects due to physical pain, my nurse said, "Just pick it up already. What's wrong with you?" I wrote down a comprehensive list of things I planned to discuss with my doctor when I saw them. When I brought up these comments, the doctor told me that all of them were invalid and that my concerns were not worth discussing. I was genuinely shocked. Suburban truly needs improvement. I'd recommend going to Georgetown Hospital for your needs. Save yourself the hardship and trouble."

"I can not begin to express the gratitude I have towards this hospital and their staff. My wife and I both unfortunately had severe emergency injuries over the last few months and this being our closest local hospital went to the ER here. In both cases not only were we seen fairly quickly (which I know can depend on the day, but they really do seem to have good systems in place) but we were also met by a caring and knowledgeable staff who went above and beyond to see that our injuries were thoroughly researched before providing outstanding surgical referrals. In my wife’s case she had to be admitted for a few days before having surgery at the hospital and the care she received was nothing short of outstanding top to bottom. So while none of us ever want to have to go to the hospital, if circumstances dictate the need I can think of no other place I’d rather be taken than Suburban!"

"UPDATE: My grandmother had to be admitted via ambulance. Do you think the second time dealing with this hospital was better? Absolutely NOT. The nurse was snippy and rude. She wasn't paying attention to what she was doing and yanked my 86 year old grandmother by her nose with the air tube. This time I will be talking to hospital management because they are truly and seriously a danger to this community. I came to this hospital in a very vulnerable state. The FEMALE nurses in the emergency room and the "so called crisis person" was EXTREMELY RUDE TO ME. The crisis person told me that I was in crisis and had to forcibly be admitted all while chuckling in my face! The emergency room nurses seemed more interested in their conversations and their shift ending than being decent human beings. They LIED TO MY FAMILY about my condition, said that I could have no visitors, all while telling me that nobody has called to check on me, nobody has come by. If I was in a mental crisis and needed to be admitted to the hospital, why do you think LYING TO ME AND MY FAMILY is the best course of action? I wish I knew all of their names. I want to stress again that it was the FEMALE NURSES. The male nurses were actually pleasant and helpful and finally let me call someone. Shame on these soulless cows!"

"I took my mother in law to the ER with severe pain, and we were treated incredibly well by the entire staff for three days. We felt that everyone - from the MRI and X-ray techs, to the nurses, to the physicians, and the volunteers at the waiting area, were dedicated to helping her figure out what was wrong and help her get better. We are very thankful to the Suburban ER staff and to the team on the 6th floor who continued to care for her gently and listen to her concerns. They treated us as a family unit and made sure her children and grandchildren understood what the treatment goals were. We are thankful to Suburban (including the cafe and housekeeping staff) for their great care."
