Hunan Village II

"Terrible food and service. The manager tried to gaslight us, we ordered Braised Tofu Vegetarian. Well when it arrived the dish looked like tofu a la king and for sure was don in chicken broth. The manager argued with us about what braised meant. We sent it back in exchange for fried tofu. Well that was worse. Spongy, wet tofu with very crisp, almost raw broccoli. Then to top it off the overworked hyper server chased us up the street thinking we did not leave a tip, when in fact we paid at the register and included 20%! The worst chinese in Westchester County. Never again."

"I rate this 2 on value but 4 on taste. This is your typical American Chinese takeout but at a slightly higher end scale due to the location and clientele. Everything is well done and I personally never received anything that didn't taste fresh. A great example of what Human Village II is about is their make your "own" entre which is very Dominick's of Arthur Ave like . This is where you pick your meat, up to three veggies, type of sauce, and how you want it cooked and this starts at $18 but can climb upwards of $32. They have delicious perfectly cooked non greasy egg rolls but they are $3 each. They offer higher end fares like the filet mignon with Chinese broccoli but at $30. Their Pad Thai while not authentic is one of my favorite Pad Thais of all time. Their Chow Fun with roast pork is just as good as anything in Chinatown but $17. The soup dumplings are great but are $12 and in comparison something like this in Chinatown would be $5. Again, all the food here is very good for the type of restaurant it is, but the prices are simply very high for basically takeout Chinese when for $30+ an plate you can actually go out and get an actual upscale meal. You could argue that $30 an entre isn't bad but the size of each entre really isn't family style."

"Horrible. Ordered for first time through their website for delivery. Was called few minutes after to let me know a meal I purchased was $10.00 more than advertised on their website, totalling my order to over $100.00. I was expecting really tasty food for their pricing. Good portion chicken & brocolli but I had to spit out a few chicken pieces as they were not chewable. Their food taste no better than the cheaper, smaller shops around. In fact, I've had better at Little Kitchen in Mamaroneck and many other places. They got my extra $10.00 but will not see another penny. Price not worth the quality."

"Used to go here, but they now charge five dollars for a small pot of tea ( which probably costs them them no more than $.25) and there is no sign saying they charge extra for using a credit card, which I only found out after I paid. My family, friends and I will return to our regular restaurant, Bamboo Garden where tea is free, no extra cost for using a card, food is great and parking is easier."

"We ordered for the first time and got it delivered. Good timing. Packaged with care. All orders and condiments were there. Love the little extras too. Thank you. All the dishes were fresh and delicious!"
