They saw my bulldog only once before he passed, but the follow up and consideration I received was well beyond that from vets who had cared for my dog for years prior. I am touched more than words can express. When I am finally able to get another pet, the only place I would ever bring him/her for care is Dix Hills Animal Hospital."

"Dr Wisher examined my lethargic dog and was able to order the appropriate tests immediately so a proper diagnosis could be made. The compassion in which she delivered the painful news and the explanation of the options were clear, so that my family could make an informed decision. We opted for surgery, and was confident in her skillful training and experience that we had made the best choice. Her bedside manner and kindness was most comforting. The team of techs and her partner Dr Johnson was very reassuring. We trust that they cared for our boy and did every thing in their power to treat him. I would refer anyone with a pet to go to trust their animal with this practice. We are grateful for all they have done to give our Lab "Teddy " the best outcome. We now wait for biopsy but have a strong belief that everything was done for the best possible chance for more years with our beloved boy."

"I brought my pup to Dixhills animal hospital in 2021. She had bloodwork severe times throughout my time there. I was never once told there was something wrong with her Kidneys until my pup suffered severe acute kidney failure. She was being treated for Cushings and was given medication that was too strong for her and resulted in death. The worst part was the false hope and them charging us thousands of dollars. I called yesterday and asked them to give a refund for services that did not help my pet but took her away from my family. What really bothers me is how they can get away with charging thousands of dollars, give the wrong medication and not even reimburse for their horrible services. It is not ok that our pup has passed because your negligence. Your office should refund the thousands you took from us. We are very heartbroken and our pup is never coming back. We should of had the guidance we needed and bloodwork from past should have not been overlooked"

"Let me tell you about this vet. If there was a 0 star option that’s what i would choose. My mom and i came to this vet in early 2022, constantly telling them our dog was acting off, they ignored us. Finally we came for probably the 100th time and they diagnosed my dog with cushings disease. They had dollars signs in their eyes and had no sympathy for my family or my sick dog. They gave her medicine to strong for her and it caused her kidneys to fail. I brought her there after she was put on medicine and started having symptoms like not eating or drinking which was extremely unusual for my dog. They told me there was nothing they could do and sent me to an emergency dog hospital. My dog ended up dying a day later. My dog was my best friend. I’m only 15 years old and i have had her since i was 4. Dix hills vet killed my dog. Do not go to this vet at less u want to be used for your money, and ignored."

"The staff here is simply the best. I called a few vetainary care facilities prior, and they kept on pushing an appointment out 2 days. You can't wait two or more days when it comes to your family. German Sheppards don't tell you when things hurt, but Dix Hills Animal Hospital has provided the best service to my family. I 100% recommend them. Thank you to Dr.Rhein, Dr.Ravitz & Jessica in the front Staff as I felt and I'm sure King K felt that he was with a staff that really cares about his wellbeing.. I far as I'm concerned, I will never go anywhere else.."
