"I stayed at this hotel last Saturday I was very impressed with how very clean this hotel was. there was also a nice variety of pillows some puffy and some not puffy which worked out well because I don’t like puffy pillows but my cousin does it was my cousins birthday and I wanted to do something special for her anyways, I just want to thank Betty for being awesome I actually booked this hotel because when I called the hotel Betty was so sweet and honest and I knew it would be a great experience just because of how wonderful she was. Betty should give classes on customer service that’s how great she is and I just want to thank her again and also there was a microwave and ice machine in office area which was great and very clean I will be returning also we as lady’s felt very safe there thanks again"

"I love this place. I stay there whenever I’m in town. I grew up in Huntington, and the Whitman Motor lodge has been there forever, but it’s been 45 years, so I assume the management has changed hands at some point lol. It is simply the best no-frills, super clean, quiet Hotel/motel anywhere near this area. And, it has the best price of anywhere around. I have stayed at other places in Syosset, oyster Bay and others, but even the ones that have more stars and are namebrand, I find are not anywhere near as clean. Did I mention clean? No weird smells, carpeting that is obviously steam cleaned often and I feel comfortable walking barefoot, which I can’t see or some of the big hotels around. If you want tons of amenities and work out, rooms and pools, and are willing to pay for that, go ahead. But the Whitman Motor lodge has everything you need in a basic motel room, pleasant front desk, very helpful. If you’re looking for a nice place to stay while visiting relatives, or coming for a wedding graduation, etc. you can’t go wrong. There’s coffee & a microwave in the lobby, and you can ask to have a microwave put in your room. Every room does not have one. Squeaky-clean bathroom, plenty of towels, nice tub-shower with a rain shower showerhead. Great place, you can’t go wrong."

"I stayed one night expecting to get some restful sleep, but that was not the case because you can hear every noise from outside the room. What's worse, the room's heater/air conditioner rattles when it comes on. The lady at the front desk/reception did not even attempt to offer me a discount for the inconvenience the following morning."

"I stayed at this lodge and the service was great. Betsy was very pleasant and good to work with. The rooms were clean, new linen, the common areas are well taken care off. There is no breakfast but a 7-11 within walking distance which helps. In a place like NY and if you are looking for a budget friendly place this is the place. I enjoyed my stay and look forward to the next."
