"Great place to stay, nice quiet part of the island. Owners are fantastic, really lovely people. Rooms are great, little bit of noise from the neighbours (i.e. over the fence) and in the next room - (eg. showering etc.) but highly recommend - would definitely stay there again!"
"A wonderful experience from the moment Rob collected us in the car we hired & took us back to the hotel, sharing tidbits of island knowledge along the way. The hotel is, as my Alabama dad would say, ‘real squared away’ - spotless & in excellent repair. Kitchens are well equipped for cooking a proper meal & the bbq is a great option to cook up the Moreton Bay bugs (from SOS) & a heap of vegies from Nelly Bay. When we found ourselves stranded for four extra days, Rob even found us an unlisted holiday rental nearby. Beautiful, quiet island stay, with enough walks to do a new one every day for a week. Thank you, Rob & Jen!"
"The best accommodation on MI! The owners Rob and Jen are fantastic hosts and super friendly, coming from an introvert I felt at home straight away and they had all the local knowledge and tips for my quick overnighter on the island. It was very easy to book last minute and they even helped with a 4wd to explore the island easily. The location is perfect, it's away from the traffic and noise of Nelly Bay with its own spectacular beach and Jetty, the best pizza shop on the island down the road and the best hike/lookout on the Island just up the road (Hawking's Point Lookout). Will be back with the family next time and Tropical Palms will be my regular when staying on the island. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone."
"This is a little place in paradise. Cosy, quiet and peaceful. Great service from Rob and Jen who are friendly and amazing, they look after you and are really knowledgeable. Rooms have the essential stuff needed and are well maintained. Location is great as is close to Picnic bay area and transport is handy too. Definitely recommend this place. Will love to come back."
"Rob and Jen are an absolute delight. They made our little family feel right at home. The room was perfect for us and the pool and outdoor areas were spotless. We also hired a fwd which Rob kindly picked us up and dropped us at the ferry terminal. We would highly recommend staying here when visiting Magnetic Island!"
