At Blackmans Bay Primary, we cater to students from Kindergarten to Grade 6, offering a co-educational learning experience that focuses on providing a nurturing and supportive environment for all learners. Throughout the year, we organize various events and activities to engage our students and promote a sense of community. Our recent Book Week Parade showcased the creativity and enthusiasm of our students, and we have many exciting upcoming events, such as an excursion to the Mt Nelson Sustainability Centre and a trip to Richmond, where students can explore and learn in a hands-on environment.

To ensure the safety and well-being of our students, we have implemented a few important measures. We kindly ask parents to ensure that their child comes to school in appropriate school uniform, brings enough food for recess and lunch, and carries a filled drink bottle. Additionally, we have attached a letter regarding an excursion to Richmond, where students are allowed to bring a maximum of $5.00 to spend at the Old-Fashioned lolly shop.

In terms of communication, we have updated our SZapp, a mobile application that facilitates parent-school communication. If you are using an Android Device, please uninstall the old app and install the new version for a better user experience. If you encounter any difficulties, our support team at Schoolzine is available to assist you.

We also want to inform parents about the importance of obtaining a Working with Vulnerable People Card (WWVP) if they wish to volunteer at the school. This card is required by the current Education Department Policy, and the application process is simple and affordable. Please visit the provided link to apply and ensure that a copy of your card is provided to the school office.
