"Very good quality food, yes there might better to be had elsewhere, but it was great good at a great price, don't find that often. We went for the all you can eat pizza (£12.50 a head)"

"The courtyard restaurant and pub, is located in the heart of Ashbourne Town. There is accommodation located within the building too. As a coupl, we each had a Sunday lunch (2 x 2 Couses) and the Sunday cocktail offer (2 for £15), which we thought was a great price for the quality of food and drink (Under £70 for both) The location is nestled away from the main street in a lovely courtyard - will definitely visit again."

"Really nice venue but a little overpriced. I ordered the landlords battered cod which was £24. I was looking forward to a high quality meal but I'm afraid I was left disappointed. The triple cooked chips were slightly undercooked leading me to believe they were standard oven cooked chips. The mushy peas were disappointing and there was nit alot of flavour to say how much batter was around the cod. I would put the meal £6 cheaper. Maybe I just picked the wrong main. My children had the pizza which tasted nice after I was able to nick a slice. I would try this place again as its a really nice venue but it's always disappointing when the food doesn't live up to the venue and the price"

"We had Sunday lunch and whilst on entry the venue was nice it went downhill from there. The service was very slow throughout to the point where we were asking for the next part of the meal; dessert, coffees, the bill. The food was mediocre. The meat was underdone both the beef and the lamb. There was a really poor selection of vegetables just cabbage and cauliflower cheese and then the whole thing was swimming in gravy. Not great. For one of the only places doing a Sunday lunch in Ashbourne if it was of a higher quality I think you would have people flocking but at the moment I wouldn’t return. 2 stars given as the restaurant itself has had some good interior design and the music was nice."

"Excellent food with efficient and professional service. Very well balanced beetroot & goat cheese starter followed by perfectly cooked roast beef. All made easy with the set price 2 or 3 course priced menu."
