"In the centre of Bristol, easy to walk to most places. Very friendly staff, great service everywhere we went. Really good food, in the evening and breakfast. Only thing that let it down from my point of view was no real ales available in bottles, no Guinness on draft & run out of Shiraz, but water was fine! Definitely go there again if we visit Bristol."

"What a lovely surprise! I had a wonderful experience at the Holiday Inn. Been there only for a night and definitely it exceeded my expectations. Was spotless. The room was clean, very comfortable, and the staff were friendly. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast serving staff were attentive, and they also cooked gluten free pancakes for us! Delicious. It is a safe place for celiac disease. I will definitely recommend this hotel."

"The Hotel is very good and well located in Broadmead in Bristol City Centre. The rooms are big and spacious and the beds are comfortable. If you're lucky enough to get a room on the upper floors with a view facing the City Centre, your in for a real treat. The view from the window facing the City Centre is excellent and you'll never miss a thing from it. This is the second time I've stayed at this Hotel because the first time I stayed there was back in December 2012 nearly 10 years ago. The experience is worth it I reccommend booking your stay there."

"Helpful staff, super location and pretty good breakfast. The only problem as of now (November) is the lifts, if you need assistance, forget it. Heavy bags, forget it. Wheelchair, forget it - you will be waiting for ages for the lift, so plan an extra 15 minutes if you want to use them. Alternatively, running up and down the stairs is good exercise. Odd to see people huddled around a heater at the lower reception all day. Would stay again, but please hurry up with the lifts."

"Room is smaller than average for the category and slightly dated compared to alternative chains. Key card disabled for no reason during the day leading to unnecessary trips to reception (where others had similar issues). Signage around the hotel states that 7am-9am is the busiest checkout time during the week, yet at 8am the main reception remained closed and the only avenue to checkout is a single staff member at the concierge desk. This is further compounded by the above issue with key cards. In addition should you choose to pay for your parking through the hotel then you must get your ticket validated at reception every time you leave. This further increases the wait time at reception. Between key cards not working, people wanting to check out and others wanting parking validated by the single concierge you might be waiting a while just to leave the hotel. Of the four lifts available only one was in operation. One lift (maybe two at a push) being out of use for a short period is understandable as it could be unexpected. Three independent lifts do not go faulty at one single moment however. For the duration of my stay I did not see anybody working to resolve this. I frequently work in the area and chose this hotel due to lack of availability elsewhere. I will not be returning should I have a choice in the matter."
