"The host was absolutely fantastic and couldnt have been more welcoming and accomadating - Andrea was very friendly and was lovely interacting with our dog, he got lots of strokes and even a sausage at breakfast. Our stay was perfect from start to finish. Beautiful, clean and comfortable room with everything you could possibly need for your stay. Breakfast was above and beyond delicious. We would definately recommend and would love to come back. Location was great for us and our host recommend some lovely spots around Loch Lomond to visit a short drive away, aswell as a nice walk to Balloch Castle immediately outside the front door."

"We booked a night at Gowanlea Guest House as we were passing by to reach the Highlands Andrea is a very friendly, welcoming host that made the stay very enjoyable. We were greeting with coffee and biscuits at our arrival, which is a nice plus. The rooms were spacious, en-suite, and had all the necessary. It was very clean and tidy. Note that the Guest House is dog friendly, which comes with a small supplement agreed upon arrival. Breakfast was served with local and fresh produce, and was delicious! I warmly recommend staying there if you are around."
